Coloring is a favorite pastime for many kids. Our child loves to color and love the computer. Coloring with the computer combines two of her favorite activities into one. The Doll Palace has plenty of free Coloring Pages.
Sign up for a free account to save and share your masterpiece. You can also view the completed pages of other members. There are some really nice free coloring pages that you can print out and color the old fashioned way with crayons. What’s best about the free coloring pages at Doll Fantasy is that you can either color their pages or upload your own. Just make sure that your graphic has every line closed. If not when you color you may color more of the picture than you want. Once you’ve uploaded your art work, you can send the URL to friends so they can color your work.
Take a look at this member colored page:

Here is one I did of Tinkerbell. We are wild about Tinkerbell and anything fairies. I always thought Tinkerbell would look good as a brunette:

Online coloring is fun for kids at any age. It gives an outlet for creativity while developing computer skills. Having a fun way to enjoy the computer will make it less intimidating to kids and even adults. The Doll Palace offers a wide selection of free coloring pages and a simple user interface. Online games have become very popular in recent years. Technology has made it possible for more people to make games and for those games to be shared over the web. I’m always looking for free online games to give a try.
Alfy has plenty of free online games. Browse by categories to find something of interest. What particularly interested me about Alfy is the free online kids games. With a toddler who absolutely adores the computer, it’s always a good idea to have some games to keep her interested. While she is still a bit young to really get the game, the bright colors and mouse movement seem to grab her attention. Alfy’s other categories include another intriguing on called learning games that have educational value. I know that will come in handy once she is a little older.
Alfy not only has a wide selection of free online games for kids but has plenty to offer all ages. Puzzle games, mind games, and other online games can all be found at Alfy.com. Not sure what to play? Browse the categories and find out the top games for that category. Also read user reviews of online games or add your own thoughts.
Alfy has a nice, clean layout that is easily navigated. With a wide variety of both kids and educational online games, Alfy will probably be used a lot around here.

At Boardspace.net, you can play some board games online. While some may be obscure it doesn’t mean it won’t be fun to give it a try.
The game Goblett is offered at Boardspace.net. The board game Goblett is a version of tic tac toe with a twist. Each player has gobletts that can stack on top of their opponent or one of their pieces. The goal is to get four in a row. You can only move one piece at a time, so you have to remember if your goblett is covering your piece or your opponents. The rule in the board game is that once you touch a goblett then you have to move it. It’s a little hard to enforce this into the online version, but it’s still the rule.
The Boardspace.net website is very simple and should load fast on any computer. You can log in as guest to play or sign up for a free account to record your high score using your name.

While I haven’t played much of Second Life, I have heard great things about this addicting social game. Now people can create their own Slurl, which is basically virtual real estate in Second Life. Ask Patty.com, the website dedicated to answering all of your auto questions from a woman’s perspective, now has their own Slurl. So not only can you visit AskPatty.com but now you can visit Ask Patty in the game Second Life.

AskPatty’s Second Life Page is located on Pontiac’s Motorai Island. You have a cup of tea or coffee and chat with AskPatty. Visit the lounge to get a free AskPatty t-shirt and pin. I need to do that because my avatar isn’t fully dressed.
You can still get the automotive advice for women by women in either the game or at AskPatty.com. Teleport to AskPatty in Second life and enjoy some good music, good cookies, and a good time.

I’ve mentioned before about the card game RSVP. I thought the old, online version of RSVP was gone but apparently it isn’t. The online card game RSVP is very much still out there. The online version of RSVP lacks a storyline and is more straightforward than the Lifetime RSVP casual game.
The RSVP online card game is straightfoward. Line up guests at each table and match the colors to make the guests happy. Make all of your guests happy to move forward in the game.
Here is a link to the original RSVP online card game.

Voyage Century is a free online multiplayer game that takes you on adventures on the high seas. It’s a huge client download of 1 GB but really is worth it.
A friend of mine was playing the game tonight. I will be signing up tomorrow to play. You can build your boat, set sail, attack other ships or search uncharted territory. Those are just a few of the things I saw tonight that you can do in the game. Apparently you can even take up the life of a pirate but watch out as this paints virtual target on your head.
You can buy points that you can use in the game, but it isn’t necessary to buy anything to play the game. There’s a lot to do in Voyage Century. Hopefully I will have time to explore it tomorrow.

In case you didn’t get enough of high school antics in high school, now there is an online game that brings the high school experience to an online multiplayer game. Hallway Wars is all about popularity, good planning and strategy.

You can play Hallway Wars as one four factions, each with their own special ability. The Geeks earn more money, the Jocks have a strength and attack bonus, the Stoners have a defense bonus, and the Cheerleaders have a sneak bonus. Each round you earn FINs, which is the currency of Hallway Wars, that you can buy upgrades in weapons, defenses, and game abilities.
It’s a turf war for the hallways of the high school. The top players can earn some great rewards at the end of each round. Cash is always a great incentive to give it your all.
Hallway Wars is free to join and play. Explore the game a bit, and it would be beneficial to read through the help questions.

Qubo on NBC Saturday morning has become our must-see TV. Qubo is several cartoons like Jacob Two-Two and Veggie Tales. My favorite is Jane and the Dragon.
It’s just something about the style of it that makes me really like it. I also like the premise that a girl is training to be a knight and befriends a dragon.
On the Qubo website are several games including Ye Olde Flying Challenge. While the game may not be that challenging, it’s still fun, and the music is great.

Tower Defence games have a simple concept: keep the enemy from reaching the castle. Just like another simple game called Capture the Flag, the key to winning is all about strategic planning. These fun games can be quite addicting.
Here is a nice article explaining more about Flash Tower Defense games. Most games require some level of strategy. This is what keeps players playing. A challenging game yet easy enough to just pick up and play is a winning combination. It is always the games with the simple concepts that I spend the most time playing TD games are great because they have a Sim-element to them. You place your towers then troops invade. Then you get to see how effective your plan of action really is.
This Tower Defense game is a good flash game for an introduction to the genre. Be warned, though. Once you begin playing, it may be hard to stop.

I’ve been hearing a lot about the online social game Second Life. I’ve signed up for an account, have downloaded the game but haven’t played yet.
Being a big Sims fan, Second Life reminds me of The Sims since it’s more social gaming than strategy. You earn in-game money that you can spend to buy real estate and other stuff. Apparently playing Second Life can be addicting. I hope to play this week. That will greatly depend upon if I feel any better. Winter colds really do bite.
