At 4:15am on Friday morning, I set out to find what I deemed to be some pretty good deals. I mean, they would have to be to get out at that time of the morning to fight the crowds, right?
On my shopping list were several video games and a console - the Xbox 360. Target had Xbox 360 holiday bundle plus a $60 gift card. Target also had two Wii games I was interested in buying - Go Diego Go Safari for $11 and Boom Blox for $20. Yeah, both games were sold out by the time I got there - about 15 minutes after the store opened. All the bargain video games were off the shelf.
At Wal-Mart, the line was already formed and pretty long for their video game deals including the Xbox 360/Guitar Hero bundle. I went to Wal-Mart first but couldn’t take standing in line any longer. After a 45 minute wait, I just couldn’t take it anymore. Luckily I came back later in the day and was able to buy what I was after - a portable DVD player.
I had wished that Gamestop had a few games of interest that were cheap since they had their buy 2 get a 3rd free deal this weekend. Nothing of great interest at a great price.
It was a fun day and found most of the stuff I was looking for. I was saddened to hear about the New Jersey Wal-Mart worker who was trampled to death when attempting to open the door for Black Friday. I did notice police officers at our local Wal-Mart that is 24 hours, so people were already inside and some waiting in line for the 5am start of the sale.
I haven’t seen any Cyber Monday deals that are that appealing to me. Of course, I’m 95% done with my Christmas shopping. This is so nice. I might enjoy the holiday season this year without having to stress over gifts.

No more countdown to Christmas. It’s finally here! Last night opening just one present turned into opening them all. So, today is all about Raegan’s gift, which is fine.
I got a lovely digital picture frame. It seems to do everything except play games. I got my husband a stylus/tablet that he had been wanting. So overall it’s a great Christmas.
The temp is suppose to be a little warmer today and just a gorgeous day. Hope it’s a Merry Christmas for everyone!

My husband wants a Bluetooth headset for gaming. Apparently a friend of ours has a set that he uses to play Guitar Hero after his wife goes to bed. This way he can enjoy his favorite game while not disturbing her.
My husband likes the Bluetooth technology since it’s wireless and therefore gives you must more freedom to roam around. I think he wouldn’t mind a headset for his phone either, but Santa can only fill one wish at a time. The gaming headset sounds like a great idea since my husband loves to play games and this way when I go to bed he can continue to play. So, it’s a gift for me as much as a gift for him, which are the best gifts of all.

Looking for a gift for a gamer but don’t want to get a game? Then here are some gift suggestions.
5. A capresso coffee maker. Why a coffee maker for a gamer? Well, it’s obvious gamers like to play games and what better way to stay awake to play those games than to drink a lot of caffeine?
4. A gaming chair. Make sure your gamer has a nice, comfortable spot to play his/her video games. These gaming chairs come in quite a variety of styles. Some are rockers, some have speakers, etc. They are low to the ground and make the perfect spot to play video games.
3. Game accessories. A new controller, a carrying case for a console, or practically any other game accessory would be a great choice for a gamer. Usually gamers are too busy playing games and researching them than to buy these accessories for themselves.
2. T-shirts. There are thousands of cute t-shirts on the Internet. Find one featuring their favorite game character or one with a witty gamer-related phrase for a sure fire hit this holiday.
1. Gift cards. A gift card to their favorite store so they can buy a new video game is always appreciated. This way you could technically not give a game as a gift but still give something they will love.
