Rant Ahead - Isn’t this rich?
Posted on Nov 19, 2008 under Way Off Topic |So, it’s no secret that I used to do paid posting through both PayPerPost and PayU2Blog. While it was easy money and much appreciated, I felt doing those types of posts were forcing me to blog about subjects I really didn’t want to - therefore making my blog more about money than my opinion.
It’s been months since I’ve done any paid posting. I haven’t done any work for PayPerPost in a while. Well, today I get a nice little email from them telling me that this blog no longer meets their requirements to be in their marketplace. This blog was already turned down for the new SocialSpark since it was deemed a spam blog.
Isn’t it rich that the company that I started paid posting with now rejects me because I’m spam but I’m only spam because of them.
You know, I have left most of those paid posts in tack with links and all. They are all “no-follow’ but still on my blog. Maybe it’s time to do some real housekeeping and take spam off the diet.
Lesson learned - paid posting is bad for blogging.
