So, I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of Peggle Nights. It was announced earlier this year that it would be released in late July. I know that games are ready when they are ready and that release dates get pushed back. I’m just ready to play it.
I’m sure it will be released soon or at least I hope so.

Fitness Frenzy is another one of those time management games but with a fitness theme. It might not be much of a physical workout, so don’t worry about sweating out toxins and needing the acne cream. Instead you will take on the role of Vicki, a personal trainer who must help her clients get into the best shape of their lives.

You know it’s kind of sad that they don’t make strollers for the 2-3 year old crowd. Rae will sometimes ride in her baby stroller. Those umbrella strollers just look uncomfortable so I carry around the huge one she has had since she was a baby. Too bad they don’t make a comfort toddler stroller because I would love to have one.
Rae will sometimes ride in the buggy. If she isn’t riding in the buggy, chances are pretty good that she wants me to carry her. By having a toddler stroller, she could ride and be comfortable. Hopefully there would be some entertainment that would keep her occupied. You know, stroller toys that are meant for toddlers. Now that would be cool. I think there is a market for these types of strollers. If they also have a bigger basket that I could put more groceries in would be a huge incentive to get one, too.

I can stop researching new diet pills as I have finally found and bought Wii Fit. I have every confidence that Wii Fit will help me lose weight. Well, maybe some confidence.
It is a fun game. I especially love the yoga poses probably because I have wanted to learn yoga but didn’t know where to start. I also love the balance games. There is one called soccer head where you hit the soccer balls with your head. Rae, my two year old, calls it ‘baseball.’ She also loves the Wii Fit, which I knew she would. It makes it somewhat difficult to play with her awake since she is always saying ‘my turn!’
So the time I do get to play, I’ve really enjoyed it. It could help you get fit. It is fun to play, so you might could even burn a few calories, too.

I’m not much into playing online games. It could be because of our satellite Internet since it’s almost impossible to play them without killer lag. When I did play online games, some of my favorite were found through a forum. They had an arcade section that have some very fun games.
Also when you had the high score there would be a trophy by your name. Nothing is more rewarding than having two trophies to show your dominance not just at one game but two.
That’s one thing I miss with standard broadband. Maybe one day it will be available here and we can once again enjoy the Internet to its fullest. It would be so nice to regain one of my trophies again.

News came out a few months ago that the Wii is very sensitive to dust and smoke. Many gamers were reporting that their Wiis were acting up. Nintendo agreed to clean the consoles for free but warned of the dangers of smoking around your Wii.
So, if you smoke, you might want to consider and air purifiers. You can even buy them online through websites like Austin Air air purifiers. Locally we were limited to what we can buy as the store only has 1 or 2 brands. But online you can find just exactly what fits your needs.
If you do want to get one for your gaming console, then get one that will fit near your game setup. They do sell tabletop air purifiers that do work extremely well. We bought one for about $15. The filters that need to be replaced about once a month cost about $7.
An air purifier might be a worthy investment if you game and smoke. It might just save you a repair.

The E3 Media and Business Summit is taking place this week in Los Angeles. The press-only event is a venue for game publishers to show their latest and upcoming wares.
I am covering the Wii aspect of the summit at Wii Rally and DS news at DS Cache. There will be little casual game news, so not much will be posted here at Romperz. But there are a few games that should be of interest to casual gamers. When I have time, I will be posting screens and information about each game.
Sadly I’m not at E3, so I have to rely on getting information from the Internet. Actually it might a better this way since E3 is so chaotic(or so I’ve heard) that to have to information in a deliverable format makes it easier to digest and write.
So it may take me a few days but look for a lot of E3 information from now until probably August as there will plenty of news I will miss but will be worthy to share.

You know when something cool happens in a game and you just have to take a picture of it? It can be difficult to take a picture of a TV screen since the refresh rate can cause issues. I get better results with my DSLR than I did with my Canon Powershot.
Adjusting camera settings will help to capture a better picture when taking it of your TV screen. I was playing with the shutter speed. The faster shutter speed worked better. It’s nice to catch those high scores and other defining game moments with my camera.

Raegan has her favorite toys that she loves to play with. Mostly they are stuffed animals but she rotates which ones she has to have every day.
Watching her play with her toys makes me remember my favorite toys from my childhood. Her toys are way cooler than mine, and she’s only 2! It is kind of fun to buy her new toys for both her and me to play with. It’s amazing what toys they have now and what they do. A great time to be a kid if you ask me.
It’s also nice that she cycles through playing with her toys, so even toys she hasn’t played with in weeks she might pick up tomorrow. It makes it really hard, though, to give away any since she might ask about them once they are gone. Still she has so many that it will be easy to distract her.
