Kids Stores
Posted on Jun 29, 2008 under Kids |It seems there are a lot more stores that cater to kids than when I was young. One of the digital signage billboards in town advertises a local make your own pottery place that is having a summer kids camp. There are also several gyms and other centers that are just for kids. In fact, there is even a store that is made just for kids to learn to cook. None of these places existed when I was a kid. What did my mom do to keep me entertained?
I have to admit that as a new parent I’m intrigued by all of it and want to experience it. It’ll be nice to the kid, too. I guess. If she even gets anything out of places like this. But I do feel that some of these are definitely catering more to adults than to kids. It seems to be working as they are still in business.
Hopefully they will bring around when Rae is actually old enough to enjoy their services. Maybe the novelty will last for at least that long.
