Labels to Organize

My husband brought home some old office supplies that included a roll of blank Dymo labels. At first I had wondered just what we could use them for, but I found them to be very handy for organization.

They are the perfect size to write the content of storage boxes. This is handy when we are storing old video games and then have the urge to play. It makes it easy to find the right box at a glance if they are labeled properly.

They are also good to label bookshelves, baskets, and any where else you might be storing stuff. It makes me feel a lot better when things are in their proper place and with labels it is clear where that proper place is for our stuff.

Hell’s Kitchen - the casual game

Hell’s Kitchen the reality TV show might be mildly entertaining but a casual game based on it just seems like a recipe for disaster. Or maybe that’s the point? The show puts chefs to the test in Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen. I’ve watched the show maybe once. I remember a lot of crying and a lot of yelling. Not what I would call must see TV. So, even though I’m a reality TV fan, I have to pass on this one.

And most likely I will pass on the casual game, too. I’m sure if I can’t stand to watch the show then I’m sure I wouldn’t much care for the casual game.

Still, for those who like the show or are fans of these type of mini-game casual games, then this might be fun for you. But with a demo download of 77 MB at Big Fish Games, it’s not for me on my Fair Use satellite Internet.

Kids Stores

It seems there are a lot more stores that cater to kids than when I was young. One of the digital signage billboards in town advertises a local make your own pottery place that is having a summer kids camp. There are also several gyms and other centers that are just for kids. In fact, there is even a store that is made just for kids to learn to cook. None of these places existed when I was a kid. What did my mom do to keep me entertained?

I have to admit that as a new parent I’m intrigued by all of it and want to experience it. It’ll be nice to the kid, too. I guess. If she even gets anything out of places like this. But I do feel that some of these are definitely catering more to adults than to kids. It seems to be working as they are still in business.

Hopefully they will bring around when Rae is actually old enough to enjoy their services. Maybe the novelty will last for at least that long.

Wii Wait

I’m still on the search for a reasonably priced copy of Wii Fit. It’s not in stores and online it’s incredibly expensive. As I patiently wait for Wii Fit to be available, I have decided to get my workout wardrobe in order.

I really need some workout shoes as mine has holes in them. Ecco shoes has one pair of athletic shoes but they do look comfortable. I would love to find a pair of shoes like the ones I already have that are falling apart. They really are comfortable.

Besides shoes, I really need some workout clothing. Maybe if I dress the part then I will want to workout longer. You know, like some sort of mind game I can play on myself.

Maybe I won’t have to wait my longer for Wii Fit. I’m ready to play now.
