Branson Fun

A few years ago, we went to Branson with some friends and had a great time. We didn’t see any of the shows of visit any of the many attractions. We did go shopping at one of the many outlet malls located there.

It would be wonderful to go back with our little girl Rae. Right now she is really into butterflies, and in Branson is the Butterfly Palace where all kinds of butterflies can be found. I can just imagine the wonderment in her eyes with seeing all the many different kind of butterflies.

Aside from the Butterfly Palace, Rae would love Silver Dollar City, which is a theme park located in Branson. Besides having 30 rides, local artisans show off their crafts at Silver Dollar City. So, it has rides for Rae and shopping for me.

With Branson Getaways, we can plan a custom vacation package to Branson. From which shows we want to see to attractions we don’t want to miss, we can build the package that best fits us. A little extra help when planning our next trip to Branson will be a welcomed change since there is so much to see and do.

It’s a trip that I look forward to us taking since Rae will surely love it.

Lost in Blue

Console games 1 Comment »

As I was checking the upcoming releases for the Nintendo DS, I saw Lost in Blue 3. This is one series I have yet to play but would really like to.

When Lost in Blue was first released, I wanted to get it but like so many other games, I pushed it off until I forgot about it. Then I read that Lost in Blue 2 just wasn’t as good as the original, so it kind of discouraged me from even getting the first game.

Now with 3 on the horizon, I’m thinking that it might be the time to check into Lost in Blue. Now that I’ve waited two years to play it, I should be able to find it for a reasonable price just about anywhere.

A Watch for Him

My husband has mentioned on more than on occasion that he would really like a kinetic watch. A kinetic watch is one that doesn’t need a battery but runs off the power generated from the motion when you wear it. Pretty neat, I think. Imagine never having to buy a battery ever again. He usually wears a watch for a few months and then may not wear it for six months, only to find it has a dead battery. With a kinetic watch he can pick up and wear it anything, knowing that it will work.

A Seiko watch could be just the thing since they do have several kinetic watches. One with a black face with a a stainless steel case is definitely his style.

Even though he says that you shouldn’t buy a loved one a watch, if I got him a Seiko kinetic watch he would approve.

Rock Band Drummer Career

I started a new band on Rock Band today. They are called Donkey Sunday(pre-generated name) and I started out on the easy track since I’m playing drums.

I really haven’t had that much experience with the drums, so I want to start off slowly. I’m still getting used to the foot petal. Other than that, I’m really enjoying playing the drums.

Playing drums never interested me in high school. I was in band but played clarinet. Of course, drummers were always so cool and everyone liked them.

I haven’t gotten very far into the career track but think I will eventually get the hang of it. Well, at least I hope so.

Fantasy Baseball

Anyone a fan of fantasy baseball? It’s been years since I was in a fantasy baseball league. It was a lot of fun, though. When I participated we conducted out draft through a BBS(bulletin board system). Those were popular in the late 1980s/early 1990s and was once of the most popular methods for taking and meeting people online. Now with the advances in the Internet, being part of a fantasy baseball league would be really cool. I had a special notebook to keep track of my players, trades, and stats. Now you can do that all online.

The best part of the league and what was most important to having a great season was draft day as it is crucial to get as many players on your list. You may not be able to get your dream team, so it’s important on drafting day to have stats of players readily available. Fantasy Sports Prophet Baseball software can meet all of your fantasy baseball drafting needs.

While doing the draft, you can view the side-by-side profiles of up to three players. This way you can compare players all on one screen. That’s very handy when your top choices have already been picked.

After the draft, through the web-based program, you can keep track of injuries, latest rumors, and articles on your favorite players. To do well in a fantasy football league takes time and research. With Fantasy Sports Prophet, they do a lot of the leg work for you. This will give you more time to really focus in other aspects instead of having to hunt down information. The fantasy sports software also has full season roster management including updated mid-season projections.

Right now you can get $10 off this Fantasy Sports baseball software when you use promo code BMC200. For those looking to start a fantasy league or participate in one, an online service can be extremely beneficial to a successful league.

Finally! some more details about The Sims 3 have been released. First of all, The Sims 3 will be available sometime next year. There are two major areas that will be different about The Sims 3. It’s been in production for three years and will feature a new game engine that will take the game to a whole new level.

Now your Sims will be able to roam the neighborhood. No more having to take the taxi or phoning a friend to come over. Sims will be able to actually move about outside of their own lot. This is very exciting and should add a lot of gameplay possibilities.

The other big change will be the Sims creation process. You will now be able to create Sims with up to five personality traits. With the wide variety of personality traits, there are over 700 million combinations.

While we will have a long wait until we see it on the shelves, The Sims 3 does sound like it will have some nice improvements over The Sims 2, which I was doubtful could be done.
