To Lose Weight

Fitness Revolution No Comments »

Losing weight is hard. It’s easy to get pumped up about dieting but it never lasts. The euphoria I had for dieting in January is gone. Having been sick for a few weeks in February just drained me of all my energy. Now I’m trying to get back on the dieting train.

So far I’ve strayed away from trying Alli or drinking Slim-Fast shakes, but it is so tempting to do something out of the norm to jump start my weight loss. Hopefully with warmer temperatures I will be motivated to exercise more like walking.

I really need to sit down and think of some goals to work towards when it comes to weight loss and fitness. I need something to keep me on track. It’s hard when you fall off the wagon to get back on. I definitely need to add some goals to help keep me going.

DOA Movie Review

Way Off Topic No Comments »

It was inevitable that such a great fighting franchise like Dead or Alive would eventually have a live action movie to add to its empire of merchandise. The DOA movie was released in 2007. Curious about it since friends just hated it, we rented it this past weekend.

Just looking at some of the original movie posters for DOA tells you what this is all about -hot chicks who can fight. There is a lot of fan service in this movie. Plenty of DOA all-stars are in this one like Tina, the wrestler, and Kasumi, the ninja princess. They are all invited to the DOA tournament. The winner receives $10 million.

Diehard fans of DOA, like our friends, might find some fault with the characters, comparing them to other video game characters instead of whom they represent in the DOA universe. To us casual fans, this movie is fun and entertaining. It might not be Oscar-worthy or anything like that but is still enjoyable.

The movie even pays homage to Extreme Beach Volleyball as the girls pair up for a fun game on the beach. The island itself is reminiscent of the one in Extreme Beach Volleyball.

DOA is fun and actually has a storyline. It’s worth the price of renting.
