For Christmas, I got a digital photo frame that I absolutely adore. For those who take digital photos, a digital photo frame gives you an easy, flexible way to view and share your photos.

Digital Frames Direct has a lot of digital photo frames to choose. There is also plenty of information for the first-time buyer to find information about digital photo frames like what type of memory cards they use, etc. You can also find user reviews of digital photo frames.

I can tell you that I love mine. It is, aside from my PSP, the best Christmas present ever. So, as you can tell, I think that digital picture frames make great gifts and so does Digital Frames Direct. They even have information on giving digital photo frames as corporate gifts.

My digital photo frame stays at home but I would love a second one for work. With all the digital photo frames at Digital Frames Direct, I am sure to find something within budget and perfect for work.

Old Games

I found a cache of Dreamcast games while cleaning out the kid’s room. It’s almost like new games since some we haven’t played in quite a while.

I’m really tempted for us to have just a Dreamcast game night. I bought my Dreamcast on eBay, and it only came with one controller. I found another one at a rummage sale. Since then we haven’t played that many games together. One game I found today was Gauntlet Legends. We use to play that a lot at the arcade. It would be a lot of fun to play again and for free.

Vintage games are a lot of fun to play every once in a while. It’s hard to play them on the older systems for too long since you can really see the lower quality after playing the next gen consoles. It’s fun every once in a while and now that I’ve found some old games I’m interested in playing, it looks like we will be playing them sooner than expected.

Wii Woes

Some Wii owners have been experiencing issues with their Wii not playing certain games or not working at all. Super Smash Bros. Brawl is the most recent game to cause problems. Nintendo says that one potential is smoke. The smoke gets trapped in the Wii and gets crucial parts dirty. Nintendo has offered to clean affected Wiis for free.

One potential solution for gamers to smoke is consider buying some air purifiers to place around the house. The small models don’t cost that much. In fact you could place a small one next to your entertainment equipment. That way it will help to keep the air clear and hopefully your Wii working.

While it might not cost to have your Wii cleaned, it still means you will be giving up some playing time while your Wii is in for repairs. An air purifier might can stave off the problem altogether.

Room reorganization

So, we’ve been working on getting our two-year-old’s room in order. It means getting all of the storage stuff out it and actually turning it into a bedroom. Once we have her room done, we will move to the bath and a new tub and possibly Price Pfister faucets.

We put together her toddler bed. Well, I should say, Daddy and Rae put it together.

She seems to really like her bed. She definitely enjoys being able to get in it all by herself. It feels good to finally see some visual improvement in her room. Hopefully it won’t take us another six months to finish it.

The Shaggy Dog

Next week new TV shows will once again start trickling into the lineup. But for now we have been watching movies. We rented the original Shaggy Dog. It’s kind of fun to watch these older movies every once in a while. The charm and humor of them is hard to find in modern movies.

The dad hates dogs, ofcourse. He is acting allergic to them and not even exam gloves will help him with his phobia. It’s been a while since I’ve seen the movie, translation it will be like watching it for the first time since I seldom remember movie plots.

Ah, now I’m remember the movie. I always have an “ah-ha” moment if I’m lucky. I couldn’t remember how the family got the dog but now I’m remembering that it’s the son who is transformed into the dog. I guess it’s time to stop writing about the movie and enjoy watching it.

Dr. Mario for the Wii

There are rumors of Dr. Mario coming to the Nintendo Wii. Dr. Mario is a game that we have had for several systems and literally taunts me. I am really bad past level 10 or so.

After playing for hours with the good doctor throwing pill after pill, I feel almost like I need to enter a drug rehab program. All kidding aside, I’m not sure why this game is so addicting or why I continue to play it even though I am horrible at it.

A Wii version could be fun or it might be frustrating, most likely both.

Count of Monte Cristo

The Count of Monte Cristo is a hidden object game and retells the story based on Alexander Dumas’ book of the same name. You might have had to read this in high school or you might have caught a movie adapted from the book. It is a great story and is interesting to see it unfold in this hidden object game.

A lot of hidden object games have a story behind them like Mystery Case Files series but The Count of Monte Cristo is a game based on a familiar story. The story immediately begins with play. Then you have your first screen. Once you’ve completed it, more story is told and then it’s time to put together a puzzle. And so forth and so forth.

If you enjoy the hidden object games that involve a story, the check out The Count of Monte Cristo.

The Sims Free Time

With the news of The Sims 3, it really has me wanting to play The Sims 2 more. One expansion that has caught my attention is The Sims 2 Free Time.

I have mentioned before how I love to decorate the homes probably more than actually playing the game. And with using the money cheat, you don’t have to rely on directbuy to find affordable furniture. The money cheat is great since even your Sims newlyweds will live in style. It does make the game a little boring since you don’t have to depend upon a job for money. But it has it’s advantages especially when all you really care about is home decorating.

This might be one I have to get at the end of the month with the next pay day. The little one is getting old enough to entertain herself so I’m actually recovering some of my free time.

Fun Run

Fitness Revolution No Comments »

There is a local fun run that will be happening the first weekend in May and I want to take part in it. I don’t run but would like to start since it’s good exercise. Also the runners I know really love it and run look forward to running every day.

That’s what I want. I want to look forward to exercise each day. I’ve begun to look at treadmills just for the simple reason that it gets hot here pretty fast. I don’t know if I begin to run now if I will be wanting to run by the time it gets warmer temperatures. Our spring usually lasts about two weeks. Not a huge window to make anything a habit especially when they say to make something a habit you need to do it for three weeks. Maybe two weeks of spring is an exaggeration but it will be quite warm in a few weeks.

To prepare for the fun run, I have begun to run each day. Right now I’m not going far but hopefully over the next month I can build up my running time. I’m hoping that the little one can ‘run’ with me since she runs everywhere anyway. She is my inspiration anyway for getting healthier, so it’d be nice if she could take part in this first fitness goal.

Trouble with Super Smash Bros. Brawl?

Console games 1 Comment »

I was excited when I got the new Wii release Super Smash Bros. Brawl and rushed home to play it. It played great. I was a little worried since I had read that some people were having trouble getting their Wii to play this first ever dual disc for the Wii.

Since I had no problems, I didn’t worry too much about researching the problem. I did read that Nintendo said that smoke could cause errors and would gladly clean for free any Wiis that wouldn’t play the disc. But that means packing your my Wii and sending it off for who knows how long.

Well yesterday my husband wants to play Smash Bros. but the Wii will not load it. Hopefully it was just a fluke and will work today. He took out the disc and wiped it off. I’m not sure if there is a disc cleaner for the Wii or if a regular cd disc cleaner will work. We are not smokers, so the error wouldn’t be caused by smoke. Now dust on the other hand might be a different story.

I won’t worry too much about it until we try to play again.
