Fitness in the New Year

Fitness Revolution No Comments »

I know better than to start a diet in December. There is just too much going on, but January is another story. We plan to start dieting and exercising in the new year.

Part of my fitness goals has always been to incorporate fun into working out. That’s why I like Dance Dance Revolution, even Guitar Hero to an extent, and the new Wii Fit should help to make working out enjoyable.

I’m still looking for other ideas. We love to play badminton and now that we have the room for a net, I will picking up a set sometime soon. I also thought about getting into paintball if I can find an affordable way to get gear for two of us.

Since we have moved, we have a bit more room outside. Even though winter is upon us, there will be days that we should be able to get outside and enjoy the nice weather. It is one of the benefits of living in the south. We usually have a mild winter. Hopefully with a nice mix of fun activities, we will start to exercise regularly.

Elf Bowling 7 1/7: The Last Insult

Countdown to Christmas No Comments »

I remember when Elf Bowling was a flash game that was making its way into inboxes all over the place. My former boss thought this was just the funniest thing. We hadn’t had Internet that long at work, so every forward that came his way was quickly shared with everyone.

Now that simple flash game is a much more in-depth casual game called Elf Bowling 7 1/7: The Last Insult . Avoid obstacles and knock down as many elves as you can. It features unique power ups and several different playing lanes to sample. The decor of the game is in the holiday spirit, using a lot of green and red. While it might not be the most PC Christmas game, it looks to pack the same amount of fun as that flash game from at least 10 years ago.
