WhoGets Revamped

I’ve talked before about the website Whogets.com. Basically it’s a website that gives away free stuff. The person with the most votes wins the prize. I thought it was a neat concept, so I’ve entered a few contests and have been a finalist once. I couldn’t round up enough votes to win but really enjoyed trying.

Today I get an email from them that says they are sort of relaunching their website with some new and cool features. Now you can see just who voted for you. They also seem to have some exciting prizes coming up like an iPod and a Nintendo DS. I didn’t see those on the site yet but I will assume they are coming. Of course, you know what they say about assuming. Still if they sent it out in a newsletter then I’m pretty sure it will be a contest soon.

I guess it’s time to start making the list of whom I know on Who Gets to call in voting favors if I do make it to the finals again. I almost feel like a politician.

Buying Used Games

One of the cheaper ways to enjoy games is to buy them used. Sometimes used games aren’t necessarily a good deal. One store in town charges about the same price for a used game as a new one would cost. Naturally I avoid this store like the plague. There are some good deals to be found on used video games either online or at a retail store. JJGames is an online video game store that sells used Playstation 2 games as well as other used console games.

JJ Games has competitive pricing that makes some games a really good deal while others might be in line with what you can find locally. One reserve I have about ordering games online is the shipping costs since that really adds to my total expense. With JJ Games, orders over $25 come with free shipping. That helps to make those almost a bargain games worth a second look that’s for sure. Sometimes to find a game I’m looking for I have to go online. Now that I’ve found JJ Games, I will check them first since their prices are reasonable and my order might be eligible for free shipping.
