Pieceless Puzzle?!?

Games No Comments »

While a pieceless puzzle may not seem like much of a challenge, apparently you haven’t seen the latest puzzles from Ceaco. Take a look.

I’m enamored with them as we always lose puzzle pieces. Puzzles are great to have around the house, especially during bad weather and power outages. Working a puzzle can help pass the time and take your mind off the conditions outside. What’s great about a pieceless puzzle is that I now don’t have to worry about my two year old eating or losing a piece of the puzzle. Now we can work puzzles with her around without having to constantly shoo her away from lose pieces.

This is another one of those ideas that I wished I had thought of because I can see this becoming extremely popular.

My Gaming Small Business

My dream job is to own a video game store. The local one in town really needs some competition, and I think I have some great ideas that would be well received in this area. Once Rae is back in school, hopefully I will be able to pursue my dream of owning a small business. I know from my parents’ business that there are a lot of factors to consider when you are your own boss.

My gaming store would have to have an online presence and online gaming. Because of my needs for data lines, I think for phone service that I would have to go with a VOIP system. It just makes sense to have my voice phone line tied into my Internet since really the Internet will be more vital to my business.

For my business VoIP I would chose Packet8.net’s plan Fax Metered Extension. The ability to reliably send faxes is important to any business but for mine it would be top priority since I may have to fax orders to some gaming companies. I’d like to carry a lot of indy titles, so these smaller gaming houses might have a simple fax ordering system. With this package, you get 300 minutes of outgoing faxes plus unlimited incoming. Unlimited incoming will be nice since most people will fax a confirmation of order.

Packet8 has several other options for small business VoIP each with their own advantages. It really just depends on the small business needs. There is one package that has a virtual attendant that allows a company to add several auto responses. This would be good for a place that gets a lot of calls and needs to filter out why they are calling to get the caller to the right department. Many of the plans are rich in options. It’s just that with my small business, I just need a basic plan since there won’t be many - if any - employees.

If you have a need for VoIP or want to learn more, check Packet8 out as they have a lot of information on their website.

New Shows Finally

Today is finally here! The season premiere of Heroes is tonight. It will be great to know what happened to the Peterelli brothers and just how is Hiro going to get back to present time.

Those are the two plots I’m most interested in. Of course with the “bomb” taking care of, what will be the plot that brings our heroes together?

I’m also looking forward to the new series Big Bang Theory. Some of the jokes on the previews are quite funny. Hopefully they will mostly be of that caliber and not cheap shots are geeks. Guess I’ll find out tonight. Premiere week is always the best.

Gossip Girl

While I’m not a gossip in real life, I have been known to spread a bit of gossip through my blog Romperz. Game gossip runs amock on the World Wide Web and some of it is too juicy to not to spread especially when rumors began floating around the next gen consoles and their features.

There’s a new show on the CW that really intrigues me since it reminds me of Beverly Hills 90210 but that takes advantage of the latest technology. It’s the Gossip Girl on The CW and follows the lives of two best friends and their mutual love interest who attend an elite academny in upstate New York. Add to that mix are two outsiders who don’t run in the same social circles as the three main characters but are nevertheless drawn into their lives.

Here is the really interesting part of the show. It is narrated by Gossip Girl, who runs a website where she blogs about her fellow classmates, hoping to stir the pot and cause tension. Gossip Girl also provides plenty of fuel for school rivals. But who is Gossip Girl and what really is her motivation behind her blog?

Gossip Girl should prove to have an interesting dynamic. I’m intrigued and will be tuning in to see what develops this fall.

Weekend Gaming Report

It should come as no surprise that I didn’t get to play any of my downloaded demo casual games yesterday. There is just too much to do with trying to our new place in order. Sadly, there has been no time for gaming.

Today is a new day and again I will try to play at least one of the games. I’m hoping to play Darwin the Monkey since that intrigues me most. It should be an easy one to make time to play since it is on the laptop, so I can play it anywhere.

Hopefully once I do play I will have time to write a brief review. Now that I’m back online there is so much to catch up on. My husband did give me the go-ahead to buy a Wii this weekend. Well, he said I may want to buy one before he gets Halo 3 fever really bad. If I did buy a Wii right now that would just put me further behind on what needs to be done. So, that’s just more incentive to get caught up on what I need to do right now.
