Crawling out of debt

Way Off Topic 1 Comment »

Getting behind on payments is never fun. It’s hard to catch up and then we usually receive a few calls from a commercial collection agency about what we owe. I hate getting behind, but sometimes it’s unavoidable since we are living on one income. It’s hard to make ends meet sometimes.

Now that we’ve moved, hopefully things will improve for us. We’d love to be out of debt in two years. Our debt has been with us way too long. It’s time that we part ways that’s for sure.

Debt free would mean more money to spend on games or other fun stuff that we want to do. It’s definitely time to get serious about paying off debt and to get fit. We just got to do both and that’s all there is to it.

Premiere Week

I’m so flipping excited about premiere week. Ever since the season finales, I have spent the whole summer trying to get my mind off of my favorite shows. Now with the premieres right around the corner, I can once again focus on them.

I’m most looking forward to seeing new episodes of LOST and just where exactly they are taking this show. Follow that by Desperate Housewives and CSI. Ofcourse, I’m anxious to see new episodes of Smallville, too.

It’s going to be a great fall.

Want List

Our want list is really long. On it includes a Nintendo Wii and an Xbox 360. Those by themselves are two hefty wants. There are other things on the list like a nice weekend getaway to an Orlando vacation rental or the day trip to the Ren Faire in a few months.

Our wants are many and even though we will be saving money in our new home, we still have to catch up with bills. It makes me sad especially since I keep seeing Wiis at local stores. I know by the time we are caught up the Christmas rush will be upon us and all of those Wiis will be gone. Then it will be a mad rush to get one.

Hopefully our want list will be knocked down somewhat in a few months. On the top of my list is a Wii. My husband really wants an Xbox 360. We just have to make a plan and stick with it. Then we should be able to get both relatively soon. Well, that is, if we can find one in town when we are ready to buy.

Dance Dance for PS2

I picked up a Dance Dance Revolution game for the PS2 today at the local thrift store. It was only $1. I will need a mat to use it but thought that for $1 I can’t pass it up. Who knows, next week they may have a mat for $2.

I bought DDRMax 2 and can’t wait to give it a spin in the PlayStation 2. Although I don’t have a mat, I might can use a controller just to get used to some of the songs. It might help to improve my playing performance. I’m so uncoordinated when it comes to DDR so any kind of edge I can get I should use.

I like that with DDr you can keep up with your calories burned in workout mode. It’ll be fun to explore the new-to-me DDR game on the PS2. I wonder what kind of calories I can burn by giving my thumbs a workout because I’m playing with a controller than a mat?
