My Digital Camera

Way Off Topic No Comments »

I use my digital camera everyday. I have a point and click Canon Powershot that I bought last December. It has been the greatest purchase I have made in a while since after all these months I still love it.

The next camera I will buy will be in the Canon digital cameras family because I’ve had such a great experience with the Powershot. I wanted a small compact camera with decent resolution so I could stick it in my purse to have with me all the time. Rae does the cutest things when we’re away from home, and with my compact digital camera I can capture those moments.

Here is one of my favorite pictures taken at the zoo:

Having a digital camera is great for snapping photos. My sister-in-law got a film camera this weekend. I doubt I could go back to a film camera because with my film camera I was always questioning if this is “film worthy.” You can only take so many pictures on a roll, and you have to pay to develop the whole roll. So you get prints of bad photos and all. With my digital camera, I take a lot more pictures and of subjects that I wouldn’t with a film camera. Some pictures I take just for sharing on the Internet. It might be an interesting building in town or a local landmark that someone might be looking for that has significance to them. You never know. Taking that picture takes up very little room on my memory card and is a snap to upload and share.

I would like to upgrade to a Canon Rebel digital camera one day. For right now though my point and shoot meets my needs just fine.

Big Brother 8

Way Off Topic No Comments »

I keep missing episodes of Big Brother 8. I knew that once EvelDick was head of household who his nominees would be. They could have went straight to the nomination ceremony.

I like Dick and was glad he won HOH. I really feel for him trying to get closer to his daughter. His feelings seem to be honest and forthright. Hopefully Daniele will give her Dad a chance.

This week is also an excellent week to be HOH since the whole house can’t stand Jen. It’s an easy eviction this week and with both nominations it isn’t a surprise to anyone. EvelDick or E.D. as Jessica calls him make be a houseguest for weeks to come, which is fine by me.

Gaming Gear

When we game, we all bring snacks and drinks. It can be hard to tell as the night goes by it is hard to tell which cup is yours. Personalized cups would help to sort out the mess or at least a Sharpie so we could put our names onto our cups. Most of our other gaming gear we recgonize like books and even dice but cups get moved around quite bit, so ones that are personalized would be ideal for gaming.

Snacks are as much of part of gaming as the games are. To make it easier to distinguish what belongs to whom would make the whole gaming night a little more successful.

Long Island Gamers

Here’s a YouTube video that features high school gamers from Long Island who get together and enjoy video games. After watching it, I wish I lived closer because it seems they have a lot of fun. We use to have a video game night and enjoyed it a lot. It may be time to have another game night soon.
