Electronic Poor

We love technology around our house. Just a few of the gadgets we have include: 3 computers, 2 DS’s, and three game consoles. We really need to protect our electronics from interference. Some EMI Shielding for our devices would be a good call. We get a lot of electromagnetic interference through the baby monitor but just at certain times of the day. We also experience disturbances on some other electronic equipment every once in a while, most notably the cable system.

We just might have too many electronic gadgets floating around the house, but they’re so much fun and worth the effort.

DVD Movies

I have been able to make some money through my blogs but it takes a lot of work. I would like to try a venture that is less demanding of my time but is still profitable. Wouldn’t we all right?

JillianEntertainment.com has a directory of vendors who sell
movies wholesale so that you can buy movies and then sell them for a profit. You can open up your own Internet-based store with this directory. The price of the directory fluctuates from $99.95-$29.95. Apparently the price is raised when they are backed up with support emails to slow down sales. Some wholesalers require you to have a business license while others don’t. Currently I don’t have one but am thinking about getting one, especially as I look to diversify my money making opportunities.

Jillian Entertainment has feedback on its website and testimonials from customers and have been in business for five years. So it’s not some fly-by-night Internet operation. Each purchase comes with 30 days of free email support. They stay busy answering around 200 support emails a week. The directory contains only legitimate U.S. suppliers of DVDs and CDs.

It is definitely a venture worth considering since the price for the directory is $29.95 for a limited time.

Weekend Away from Home

So, I’m thinking I need to make my Big Fish game decision today since we will be out of town this weekend. I can install it on the laptop and have some entertainment. Of course by installing a new game will ensure that I will not have any down time this weekend. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but just the way it seems to always go.

I’m also taking Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix since I have yet to finish it. I’m not even close to being finished. The first four books I read back-to-back. Then I had to wait for Order of the Phoenix to be released and still haven’t managed to finish it. Hopefully this weekend I will get some of it read. But again if I take something to do, then I won’t have any time to do it.

Either way the game I need to choose soon because I will have another credit before I know it. It should be an easy decision since there are several games at Big Fish that I wouldn’t mind owning.

Making our Money Last Longer

When we budget, it seems like we always have money. To give each dollar a name like “light bill” or “food” keeps us from spending it when we shouldn’t. I have been using a spreadsheet for the budget but find it cumbersome but what I really need is a good budgeting software program.

I’m already at the computer a lot during the day either playing games or writing about games. I can take a break and work in a software program to see where we stand with our budget. The spreadsheet is nice but it would be great to have more options and features to work with.

When I get my NeatReceipts Scanalizer, I will know exactly where our money is going since I’ll be able to work with our receipts electronically and manipulate the data. Once that comes in, I will see how it works and then which software will integrat with it the best and then make a decision.
