Book Service

Thank goodness I live in a city with a great library. A few years back we lived somewhere where we didn’t have access to a library. That’s why I think a book service like Booksfree.com is a great resource, especially for those people who love to read but do not have access to a library. At Books Free, you sign up for an account to either receive paperback books or audiobooks. How many books you have checked out depends upon your level of membership.

At a basic membership of $9.99, you can have either one audiobook checked our or two paperback books checked out. Books are media mailed to your address and come with a prepaid envelope to return them in. You do not have to rush to return the books as, unlike the library, there is not a due date. When you have returned your books, Books Free sends the next ones on your list. Be sure to keep your list with a lot of book choices since some books may have a waiting list. The next available books from your list will be shipped. You can reorder your list at any time.

You can also keep certain books and pay for them depending upon how many Books Free has in stock. You get a nice discount off the cover price. Furthermore, you can donate like new paperback books that are already in their inventory and receive a $1 credit for each one. Use that money to purchase books you want to keep.

Booksfree.com is an easy to use book rental service that has a great selection of books in many categories. Read books, then return them to receive more. Best of all, it can be all done from your home.

Everest Update

Casual Games No Comments »

I bought Hidden Expedition Everest last month and have really enjoyed playing it. I’m not sure how far I am from beating the game. My hardcore gaming husband comes in from work Monday night, plops down in front of my computer with Everest on it and finishes the game. Not just once does he finish the game but twice.

He played for at least 3 hours. As a casual gamer, I cannot fathom playing a game for an hour at a time much less three. But he can do it with no problem. Joe really likes the hidden object games, which was one of the reasons I bought Everest as I thought he would enjoy it. I guess I made a good call on that one because not only did he finish it but thought it was fun enough to play again. I think that says a lot about a game when if it has replay value.

Now I must finish the game at least once.
