Selling Annuity Payments or Playing Monopoly

Way Off Topic No Comments »

I’ve never been a fan of the board game Monopoly. I guess because I’m just not good at it. There’s a lot of things I just don’t understand when it comes to money like stock options and or how to sell annuity payments. I remember annuity was always an option when setting up a retirement plan but never went that route. Like I said, I don’t know a mind for money.

My husband loves Monopoly but has been blacklisted from playing by his friends. He loves to cut deals and such that make other players mad. I do enjoy Monopoly, Jr. since it is Monopoly-light. The money is easier to handle and the rules I understand a lot better than regular Monopoly.

If I had the choice between learning how to sell annuity payments or playing Monopoly, I think I would chose the first option.

This is Sassy our dog. She can sleep in some odd positions. This one cracked me up one night, so my husband put his empty beer bottle by her since she looks passed out. It still cracks me up just looking at the picture.

Cosmic Smash for the Dreamcast

Console games No Comments »

Have I mentioned lately how much I love my Dreamcast? I’m really glad I didn’t but one new but am sad about that decision. I have bought several Sega consoles and the game gear only to be disappointed with lack of support. The Dreamcast might be obsolete, but there are some great games for it. Best of all those games are really cheap.

I recently played Cosmic Smash for the Dreamcast. It’s like raquetball and brick breaking combined into one game. It has catchy music - a big plus since the baby loves to dance- and fun game play. That is when i can play. Usually i turn it on and the baby starts saying “mine!” and wants the controller. Ah, they learn fast about possessions, don’t they? So, I give it to her since she gets bored real quick and then I can play again. Or at least until she notices. Then she says “Mine!” and we repeat the whole process.
