I caught the premiere of Big Brother 8 by accident. It was a good accident since I’ve been looking forward to the new season. I haven’t been following much of the hype around this season. I knew about the enemy twist ( why do they feel the need to keep adding twists to the game?) and after the all-star season, I am ready to see the game played by “newbies.”

It should be an interesting summer. The ex-couple will be the most explosive enemy twist I predict. It sounds like the school rivals weren’t really rivals. Well, maybe one of the girls thought they were. The father/daughter one just seems to be a cause of polar opposites. The Dad seems cool, maybe too cool in the eyes of the daughter. Anyway, I feel most bad for her. Family conflicts should never be aired out in front of a television audience. (although I know there are several shows that make their living off of this kind of stuff.)

I do like the twist of America’s player. I hope he isn’t gone within a few weeks. He reminds me of Jason Biggs. I can’t remember his name, though. Finally the audience will have some power (again!) in the house.

It should be an interesting time. It usually is in the Big Brother house.
