Pokeno Update

Last night I attended my first Moms play date event. The kids weren’t invited to this one as it was for Moms to get out of the house and enjoy a night away from home. First step one evening away, the next step earn some rewards with leisuretime promotions for a few days to myself.

Pokeno was a lot of fun. I had to bring two gifts. Each winner got to choose one gift. After two rounds, all the gifts were gone. Then begins the take away round where winners can either steal a gift(from someone with two or more gifts) or claim one of their gifts as off limits to be stolen. I won a game, so I got to bring home a nice prize. Some ladies were big winners. I think the key to winning is complain about never winning. Get all of that negativity out and you’ll win. Well, at least it seemed to work last night.

I can’t wait for next month as I’m already plotting and planning the gifts to bring. My husband says that I’m trying to “one up” the other ladies but I want my gift to be chosen first. Gifts are wrapped, so I plan to make them look superb. It’s almost like a mini-competition, bragging rights that you brought the gift chosen first or the gift stolen most often. Yeah, I guess I am competitive after all.

Live Free or Die Hard Second Life

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Live Free or Die Hard is one movie that is on my must-see list. John McClane is like family. I remember seeing the original Die Hard in the 80s and loving it. Most of the time when I hear about sequels (or sequels squared) especially of older franchises I usually pass. But come on, we’re talking about Bruce Willis, so I’ll be in line sometime in the next week to see this one.

Live Free or Die Hard even has it’s own spot in Second Life. You can view Die Hard at Second Life by visiting its SLurl, or Second Life URL.

I haven’t visited it yet as I un-installed Second Life on the laptop since it ran so slowly. Once I reinstall it on the big PC I will be paying their location a visit.

Thomas and Friends Mix and Match Bingo

Board Games No Comments »

Thomas and Friends Mix and Match Bingo Game is a fun starter game for preschoolers. It’s easy and games can be short enough so they won’t lose interest.

Players as young as three can play. Each player has one bingo card and nine same colored chips. Players take turns rolling three speciality dice. When one of their squares is an exact match the dice rolled, then they mark the space with a chip. It must match in color, border, and picture. When they have three in a row, they win.

Players can play cooperatively with one board and just try to get three in a row. There are a few other variations where players look for matching squares on other players’ cards and a version where all bingo cards are placed together.

Thomas and Friends Mix and Match Bingo Game is fun stuff, if you are a young gamer. Older gamers might not find it quite a challenge. It’s best to play with younger siblings or your kids.

Picture of Raegan

I take a lot of pictures of Raegan, and she loves to look at pictures. It’s so funny because when she comes across a picture that isn’t her, she isn’t much interested in looking at it. I have several favorite photos of Raegan but most are digital. I usually print out pictures every few months and like to have a few blown up to frame for the wall.

Soon I will have a photo enlargement from CanvasOnDemand.com of one of my favorite pictures of Raegan. I’m not much into posed pictures. I prefer candid shots because they just seem to capture the moment. The picture that I’m having enlarged of Raegan definitely captures a fun memory. I’ll share more about that when my photo comes in as well as share the picture.

I’m excited about receiving a photo enlargement of on of my favorite pictures of Rae. Now to find a place to hang it.
