Car Repair
Way Off Topic June 15th, 2007Our rearview mirror fell off the windshield. So, this meant it was time to shop in the auto accessories department to either find a replacement or a method to re-attach the mirror.
Luckily we found a re-attachment kit that had the silicone glue needed to make the mirror stick to the glass. It is one of the more easier and less expensive repairs we have made to the car. The kit cost about $2, so now we’ll just have to prepare the glass surface with a good cleaning. I have a feeling the long-term solution for our other vehicle will not be so easy or cheap.
My truck runs great until the motor comes up to temperature. Then it just dies. It will start back up once the engine has cooled off, usually takes about two hours. We have a feeling it’s a sensor and has something to do with emissions. Either way the repair will surely cost more than a couple of dollars and take longer than 10 minutes to fix.
