Anniversary Weekend

Way Off Topic No Comments »

June 10th will mark 12 years of marriage. Where has the time gone? It just seems like yesterday that we were planning our honeymoon and checking into a Pigeon Forge cabin rental. Renting a cabin for the honeymoon was a good choice. Our second day on our honeymoon, we had already located a comic book store. I have a picture of my husband reading a comic book in the cabin. We had a great view of the mountains and how does he spend his time? Yep. Reading comic books.

I’m not sure how we will mark the occasion. We will probably stay home. Maybe we will get around to finally playing the Fantastic Four video game we bought at least three months ago. It is by Activision and since we love every game that we have played from that company, we felt Fantastic Four would be a safe bet.

Our gifts will have to wait. I’m still holding out for a Wii. Maybe by the end of the summer.

LOST the Board Game

Board Games, Games No Comments »

My husband picked up LOST the game last week. I don’t know if we play or not. He liked it because it is about LOST. So, last night he finally opened the box and pulled out the instructions. The quick rules lasted for 8 pages! I don’t think he made it through the first page.

There was a nice Dharma coin in the box that he was smitten with, so if we never play the game at least he got a cool coin from the deal. We will probably play it though. Usually rules give a lot of examples of game play, so hopefully we can get the idea of the game without having to read through 8 pages of dry text.

Wii ConsoleThe Nintendo Wii now has its own spot on MySpace. The Wii has a great piece of MySpace real estate with their MySpace address. Just type in MySpace.com in your broswer, followed by the slash, then type howwiiplay.

Check out the Wii downloads that include skins for MySpace, buddy icons, and wallpaper. MySpace users can now add the Wii to their friends list and keep up with all the latest news and happenings with the Nintendo console. At the same time you can show off just how much you love the Wii by having them on your friends list.

It seems everyone is now using MySpace, so it just seems natural that video game consoles have made the leap to the social networking website
