Tonight is the Dreamblade tournament. I had really hoped to tweak my Valor warband but doubt I have time. My warband is weak in muscle and low spawn point creatures.

I’d like to do a whole new warband. Last week the third place winner gave me the promo mini, which was cool and nice of him. Hopefully tonight I can earn one.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance for the Xbox 360 has downloadable characters you can play that aren’t in the Xbox version. *sigh* Just another reason to get a 360.

My first Sim family was based on my husband and me. I loved that family and played them almost exclusively for at least a year. Finding PC casual games for kids can be challenging enough but finding games geared for kids as young as three can even be a bigger challenge. I recently attending a local kids expo that was great exposure to businesses that cater to children. There was also plenty of information on upcoming summer camps and other activities for kids. It was a lot of fun even if the little one can’t take part in camps. It was still a good information gathering day.

I also like to attend conventions for the same reason. While they are great to collect marketing pens and other cool stuff, cons give a one-stop spot to find useful information from companies.

Our next con we will be attending will be Dragon Con in Atlanta. I’m really excited about this one. I’m hoping to get some hands on experience with some new board, card, and RPG games. It seems that in our area the same games are popular with everyone and is what most people play. It’s always nice to learn new games, especially when the person you are learning the game really has a passion for it.

That’s the best thing about cons for me is the exposure to games and players that are not in my gaming group.

Rae loves my pink Nintendo DS. She is going to be such a gamer. She loves to turn it on, tap the screen, and close it shut. Once she is done with the DS, she does put it with all of her toys. Too bad it’s Mommy’s toy and it doesn’t belong in the toy box. Can you spot the DS?

I finally did a podcast. It isn’t very long but has some good information. I talk about my method of getting discounts on casual games.

I hope to do a weekly podcast of casual game reviews. Using the MyPodcast software and services is so easy. Even I can get the hang of it.

Caillou Preschool features the lovable four year old in a series of mini-games just for toddlers. Caillou Preschool has the same feel as the cartoon and has a lot of games.

The games are divided into three main categories: Alphabet, Colors and Shapes, and Coloring & Creativity. Caillou’s Alphabet is filled with mini-games inspired by the letters of the alphabet. In Apple Drop, kids click on the apples that have either an uppercase or lowercase A to put them in the bucket.

Caillou Preschool has many activities for preschoolers. It’s a fun game for toddlers since it encourages children to play the games again to get good scores. Good scores are marked with stars. It is available for $14.95 through Legacy Games.

The Police were one of my favorite bands when I was a teenager. I loved their music and music videos. Playing The Police song “Message in a Bottle” on Guitar Hero 2 and singing “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic” on Karaoke Revolution bring back such good memories of growing up with the Police. That’s why I’m very excited to hear that the Police are going back on tour. They are also releasing a greatest hits album to mark their 30th anniversary of their debut. The new Police cd is a two-disc compilation includes hits from their first five albums as well as their very first single, “Fall Out.” Take a look at this list. Seeing that list brings back those high school memories. Whatever mood I was in, I could always relate to a Police song. I listened to more music as a teenager than I watched TV or played video games. My video game obsession is something that hit around the time I went to college. High school was all about the music, and the Police were a big influence. I listened to their songs, cried for the heartbreak that Sting went through, and felt happy yet sad when Sting launched his solo career.

Yes, the Police cd is something I will definitely have to get my hands on. I would love to see them on tour but with the little one that might be more difficult to pull off. Hopefully there will be a Police 2007 Tour DVD in the near future as well, so those who can’t make it to the concert can at least watch it at home.

The new Police cd will be available in the US on June 5th and internationally June 11th. This will make a wonderful anniversary gift since my husband and I will be celebrating 12 years together on June 10th. The Police mark their anniversary with a new cd, and we’ll mark ours by getting some great music.
