I’m a pen fanatic. I love pens, just ask my husband. I recently got the coolest pen ever. I write for BellaOnline and attended a gathering in New Orleans. The pens given as swag were a medium point with black ink, my favorite type of pen. It also has two buttons on the side. One activates a LCD flashlight while the other button is a laser pointer. I have need a laser pointer for a long time.

I thought the laser pointer would be fun to play with the cats, but the cats seem disinterested in the red beam of light. Fortunately, the baby will chase after the red light so at least I can still have my fun.

Big Fish Games Club

Big Fish Games has a lot of great casual games. I was checking into their Games Club to see what it was all about. Apparently you pay a monthly fee and get one credit. One credit will unlock the full game version of one game. Credits vary in cost depending on how long you sign up for the Games Club.

For 12 months, you pay $6.99 a month and get to unlock one game each month. You can also buy additional credits at that price. It seems like a good deal, so I’m thinking about signing up. They do have a three month club deal that would make each game credit cost $9.99. Still, not a bad deal for some of the hottest casual games out there. Big Fish has some of my favorite games like Fairy Godmother Tycoon, Grimm’s Hatchery, and many more.

Redecorating

A simple home improvement project that can really change a rooms appearance is to replace the window blinds. It’s amazing what a new window treatment can do to alter the look and feel of a room. When we remodeled the office into the baby’s nursery, the window blinds and new curtains really made the room look different. I’m looking to redo the living room and will definitely start the process with a new window treatment.

PC Solitaire

My husband has become obsessed with spider solitaire. Tonight he was saying how he needed to do some computer work. So, he cranks up the computer only to play spider solitaire for hours!

He had to take a break while we watched Drive on Fox’s website. He is now back at it though. I think once he wins a hand, he’ll be satisfied. He is like a man possessed. He could be playing Pirates!, Neverwinter Nights, or any of a slew of casual games we have. But there he sits playing solitaire.

It’s amazing what game will totally engross him at any given time.

The Game of Golf

The local salvage store has a book stock that is 75% off. We picked up some great books at that steep discount.

They also had a huge golf stock. There were rows of golf clubs, golf bags, and golf balls. I saw the cutest golf bag. It was black with pink highlights. It was so cute that it makes me want to take up the game just to have it.

Golf wouldn’t be a bad game to learn. I already enjoy watching the LPGA and PGA. Playing golf might be an enjoyable outing. A nice walk around a beautiful landscaped property while hitting a ball into a round hole. Hitting the ball might lead to frustration. I might just forego the golf and take the walk.
