Weighloss Woes

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Dieting is really hard. It is so difficult to just eat less all the time. Weightloss is slow but steady. It’s just frustrating sometimes. I’ve been off track for about a week. I’ve got to get back on track. Sometimes I wonder if ionamin would be a good solution. I really want to lose the weight without diet pills. Guess I will just have to learn to push away from the table sooner and eat less.

I need to do something fast since bathing suit season is almost here. Maybe my swimsuit or a picture of me in a swimsuit will provide the right motivation for doing what needs to be done.

Thank God You’re Here

After watching Deal or No Deal and hearing the promo for Thank God You’re Here at least a dozen times, we decided to tune in. It was two episodes, so we were treated to twice the fun.

Dave Foley judges four celebrities who take part in skits that they know nothing about. Each celeb has one skit, and there is one skit where all four perform together. The winner receives a TGYH trophy.

It reminds me of Whose line is it anyway but with way more props. It’s pretty funny. It will at least help Monday nights pass until Heroes returns.

Stand O’ Food

Casual Games, Games No Comments »

Fast food takes center staged in Stand O’Food. The game challenges you to complete orders, make a profit and upgrade your services to make more money.

Stand O’ Food starts out easy enough. You always have enough food to fill orders. The orders appear in bubbles over the customers’ heads. Once you’ve made the order, it’s like you are on auto-pilot because you go directly to the right customer.

There is no order taking or having to click to deliver food You just have to concentrate on the order. Upgrades to your shop like ketchup will bring in more money and make happy customers. You will have to click on these condiments once you have the first slice of bread. Then click the condiment that is appropriate for the sandwich. Then finish the order.

Stand O’ Food is very entertaining. I really like these games that you can buy upgrades. It makes the game more complicated but adds a lot more challenge to it.

The Littlest Gamer’s Room

Soon it will be time to upgrade the baby’s crib to a toddler bed, so I’ve been looking at kids bedding to decide which theme we want to how to decorate her room. Right now her room is eclectic with a mix of fairies, flowers, and Tinkerbell. The right bedding will help to solidify the theme to her room.

The gamer in me really wants to with a Princess themes, so I can bring in Peach from Mario in the room somehow. Sometimes I think just going with a generic theme so there will be more flexibility when she is older and into more theme characters. I still have a few months to decide as she is still quite content to sleep in her crib.

Dreaming of Orlando

Orlando is just one of those cities that I could visit each year. With Disney World and other theme parks, it’s a great spot of families. Rae isn’t quite old enough to enjoy it all, so we’ll have to wait a few years before planning our trip. Finding an Orlando vacation rental hotspot will be key to how long we can stay. Disney World will be a wonderful experience.

My Disney fund jar is prety bare right now. Hopefully with Summer vacation fast approaching, I will get more motivated to drop a few coins in it.

X-Men The End Graphic Novel

Way Off Topic No Comments »

We checked out from the library three X-Men graphic novels. They are The End series done by Chris Claremont and are about the end of the X-Men. My husband has read through all three of them, but I’m still on the first one.

It’s an interesting read so far. It reminds me of the “what if” comics but a lot better. I became a fan of the X-Men when Claremont wrote the comic. It’s fun to read the end of the X-Men since comics are a lot like the soaps in that no one really dies or the status quo never changes for too long.

I’m only into the first graphic novel, Dreamers and Demons, a few pages. So far, Rogue and Gambit are together, Scott is married to Emma Frost, and Jean Grey has reappeared as the Phoenix.

Kids Furniture

I bought Rae a small vanity kids’ table. It is the cutest thing with a light-up mirror. She is too young right now to appreciate it but soon she will really like it. It’s so exciting and scary to think of her growing up. As a teenager I was all into clothing and makeup. I had at least two makeup mirrors and didn’t leave the house without some makeup on.

I guess it’s just a rite of passage to go through those teen years. I can’t think about Rae being a teenager as it is likely to trigger a panic attack.

Word Whomp

I don’t play many casual word games, but one that I really liked was Word Whomp. It’s been a while since I played this classic causal game, but it still one of my favorites.

Word Whomp challenges the player to make as many words out of a certain letters. You can mix up the letters, which helps to see new words. When a word is found, it is revealed on the board. Keep track of the found board since it also shows how many words can be found.

Words are 3-6 letters long. I always feel accomplished when I’ve found the six letter word(s).
