Spring is in the Air

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Spring is definitely in the air. We have been spending much more time outside lately. This just brings to mind all the small projects to do around the house that will give the yard more curb appeal.

One this is definitely outdoor seating. I would prefer a swing with a canvas shade. This way I might just be able to play the Nintendo DS outside while Rae plays in the yard. Another nice item would be a water feature. Right now it’s still pleasant but having a fountain would help to keep the yard a tad cooler this Summer.

Fountains can really made a space special and inviting. Also the trickling sound of water is very relaxing. Online Discount Mart has a wide selection of new fountains and other new products for Spring. Spring is one of my favorite seasons because of all the new products that are on the market for outdoor as well as indoor spaces.

Planting flowers and tending to the yard are just a few rituals of Spring. This year I hope to add to that by buying some much needed furniture and other products for our yard.

Uglydoll Card Game

Card Games, Games No Comments »

Have you seen the Uglydolls? They live up to their name alright. Now they have their own card game that is fast and fun. There are 70 cards. Shuffle the deck and remove the top five cards. All the rest of the cards need to placed face down on a flat surface. Cards should be spread apart. It’s OK if they lap over one another. In fact, the more they lap, the better it is.

Uglydoll is probably more fun for kids. You are looking for three identical uglydolls as players take turns flipping over cards. When you have found three, try to snatch as many as you can. Other players will no doubt try and go after the cards, too. If there is a tie over a card, the first person to yell “ugly” three times wins the card. The player with the most cards when no more matches can be made wins.

Fun and fast game. It takes all of 15 minutes or less to play.

Buying or Selling a Used Car

Way Off Topic No Comments »

We have a truck that we will possibly be selling sometime in the near future. We will need another vehicle and also sell this one. We want to buy a used vehcile, so we are interested in finding used car clasifieds online. Since we also might be selling a vehicle, we will need to list our vehicle as well.

Autocity101.com offers free used car classifieds. It will be hard to find a better deal than free. Plus Auto City 101 not only has used car classifieds but are using some of their profits to build an orphanage in Mexico. The orphanage network will begin in Mexico but has plans on spreading around the world.

Buying pre-owned vehicles makes a lot of sense if you are looking to save money. New vehicles depreciate in value so fast. You might as well by a pre-owned vehicle that is already at a lower value and cost.

We know what type of pre-owned vehicle we are looking for, so that will help when looking through the used car classifieds. Something reliable, newer model, low mileage, and a good price would all be great attributes to find an our new pre-owned vehicle. Hopefully our truck will hold out until we have the money to buy another vehicle.

The Last Mimzy

Way Off Topic No Comments »

The Last Mimzy is a cute movie about two children who stumble upon the Last Mimzy. The movie explains what Mimzies are and why they were sent to Earth. It also explains our part in helping them out. Mimzy befriends the little girl in the movie, and when she says Mimzy ( a cute stuffed rabbit) talks to her, is dismissed by adults as childhood fantasy. It’s a kid-empowered movie, which should be a good lesson to us all that just because kids are young that their ideas and thoughts shouldn’t be ignored.

I don’t want to give too much away, but we did enjoy this movie. We even took Rae who seemed as interested in it as can be expected from the 18 month old. Fun movie and definitely worth seeing as a matinee with the kids.
