Disney World

My husband has been to Disney World, and I can’t wait to go. We will probably go once Rae is old enough to enjoy some of the rides and remember the experience. I would go tomorrow if I thought I could, though.

We should probably start out Disney fund today because there is so much to do in Orlando besides going to Disney World. We’ll have to comparison shop to find the most affordable places to stay as well as other deals. One place I really want to visit is Universal Studios. Maybe it’s my TV background or my sheer love of movies that makes me really want to visit this theme park. Hopefully we’ll be able to catch some discount Universal Studios tickets and other deals to ensure we can do everything we want to while visiting Orlando.

OrlandoFunTickets.com has discounted tickets to not only Universal Studios but everything Disney like Disneyquest and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. It’s important to find the best price on tickets when you take into account that Disney World has four theme parks. A small fortune can easily be spent on a Disney vacation. It will be a real benefit to find the best discount ticket price to save as much money as we can.

Maybe we should have started that Disney fund a few years ago.

Tonight’s LOST Episode

Tonight’s LOST episode was a good one. They are back on the main story, unlike last week’s good yet side story. We saw all my favorite characters tonight: Kate, Jack, Sawyer, even Sayid made an appearance. It was Kate flashback episode, which was pretty cool. It shows her tie to Sawyer.

It will be interesting to see how they develop Jack and Juliette’s relationship. It’s obvious there is something there. All castaways will be back on the beach next week.

LOST returned to its roots tonight by showing the monster. The “others” are gone, but they have left Juliette behind. Will she tell everything she knows? What does she have to gain by keeping their secrets? I guess we’ll see next week.

Guitar Hero Thumb?

Game Talk, Way Off Topic No Comments »

My left thumb has been killing me today. I am not sure how I injured it. The only thing I can think of is that it is a Guitar Hero injury.

I am not left handed, but play air guitar left handed, so this is how I play Guitar Hero. Playing Guitar Hero is the only thing I can think of that I have done lately. It would be a stretch to hurt my thumb strumming. Hopefully it will feel better tomorrow. I’ll just take some more ibuprofen and hope for the best.

Data Deposit Box

When I worked in IT, we did a daily backup of our computer system. Every day I would have to switch out backup tapes to ensure the backup would run during the night. Backing up to tape was a lot of work. Not only having to keep up with five backups but to remember to switch the tapes out daily. It was always a huge hassle and was easy to remember not to remove the backup tape since the server was in a secure location in the building.

Then there was the issue of severe weather. There was a big tree right beside the server room that always worried us that it would fall during a bad storm and destroy all our computer power. When bad weather threaten our area, one person would take the latest backup tape home with them while another person would take the tape from two days ago.

There is an easier and hassle-free way to do backups. I wish our company had done this. Data Deposit Box offers online data backup, secure and reliable. It’s an easy way to backup your data daily without tapes. You can backup all of your data online and never have to worry about switching the backup tapes again.

All you have to do is set up the backup information once, then you’re done. No more setting schedules or other tasks will you have to do for data backup. My company would have liked this. They have a free 14-day trial offer. It’s so nice to be able to test run a product before buying. If I was still working, I would definitely have to bring up this backup solution to the company as I can see many benefits and less hassle when it comes to backing up data.
