Magna Doodle for the PC

I bought a Magna Doodle second hand a few months back. I can’t pass up toys and now that I have a toddler I have the perfect excuse for picking them up. Rae is just shy of 18 months and has discovered the wonder that is the Magna Doodle.

She loves to draw a few lines then erase them. At first she struggled to move the bar to clear the writing surface but by the end of the day she was a master at it. Oh to be able to learn that quickly!

It got me to wondering if there was a Magna Doodle game or software for the computer. Ofcourse there is, and after more than a few Google searches, I found it through Amazon. She loves the computer and her Magna Doodle so I think the PC Magna Doodle will be a hit. It comes with a CD, and you use your mouse to make the magic happen.

I wish there was a demo, but I haven’t located one yet. I’m anxious to try it out now.

Sleep Problems

My husband wakes up several times during the night, and it affects his overall sleeping experience. He wakes up tired and not feeling well rested. We have wondered for a while if he may have sleep apnea. I know people who have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and what improvements have been made in their sleeping routine.

There is a sleep lab in town that he can go to and get diagnosed. It probably will be something to check into in the near future. If he does have sleep apnea I know there will be a CPAP machine that will help him when he sleeps. CPAP stands for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure. Those who suffer from sleep apnea stop breathing for a very short amount of time while sleeping. When they catch their breath, it can startle them awake. The CPAP machine makes sure there is always an air supply, so sleep apnea sufferers get a better night’s sleep.

You can buy CPAP machines and other sleep apnea products from CPAP Wholesale. Ofcourse, you need a prescription to buy one of the machines. Hopefully a visit to the sleep lab will answer some of our questions, and if we need a CPAP machine then we know where we can get one.

Dreamblade Warband

There is a Dreamblade tournament tonight at our local gaming store. Last night we spent some time tweaking our warbands. I have warband mainly made up of Valor, with Brighthammer Avenger being at the center of the concept.

The supporting creatures have blade abilities of advance - move a non-engaged alley or skirmish - move a targeted engaged ally. Brighthammer Avenger doesn’t get to attack but gets to charge for six power every time he moves into a cell. It’s really nice, but a lot of the support warband winds up going to the graveyard since they aren’t really beefy.

I added a slaughterwheel into the mix. Although it’s not valor, it’s cool enough to have in the warband since the slatugherwheel’s blade ability is to the a blade ability of any creature in the graveyard. I also added Faceless Stalker who when she attacks you can roll up to 2 dice again. I need more of her because this would surely help to ensure getting a blade when I need it.

Hopefully I’ll do well. This will be my second tournament. The first tournament was my first time playing. Maybe I will improve upon that performance.
