Having a Baby

Having a baby is one hidden expensive after another. I’m not talking about diapers, formula, toys, or baby furniture. I’m talking about medical bills. I thought I had good insurance until I had a baby. There were so many doctors and hospital bills. What was really sad was we had prepaid our OB-GYN what we thought would be the cost of her services. It turned out we still owed around $700 even with prepaying our calculated portions.

Prenatal care is very important and luckily was very affordable with our insurance. I can’t imagine having a baby without insurance. We would be in debt for life.

My next pregnancy - if I am so lucky to get pregnant again - I’m going to get the Maternity Card. We have insurance but a high deductible. The Maternity Card can help fill in the cost gap. Their maternity benefits are tailored made on a case by case basis. They can also help lower the cost of infertility treatments.

If you are pregnant or hoping to become pregnant, Maternity Card is definitely worth checking into.

Brought to you by Maternity Card.

How would you like to use that cool Wii nunchuk remote control with your PC? It’s no pipedream because it’s possible. Wiiprojects.org has all the details on how to hook up your Wii remote to a PC.

We don’t have a Wii yet and certainly don’t have a remote. We do have a USB Bluetooth device. Since we are planning to purchase a Wii, picking up a Wii nunchuk remote wouldn’t be a waste of money. It might be kind of cool to use the Wii remote on the PC.

The Capo’s Mistress

We are big readers and love all sorts of book genres. A good mystery will keep me way up past my bedtime and keep me turning the page to find out what happens next.

There is a new book due out next month called The Capo’s Mistress by Richard Harris which I think has all the elements to be a book that will keep me up at night and turning the pages. If the book hasn’t been released yet then how do I know about it? For a limited time, you can download The Capo’s Mistress for free until April 27. That’s right. The Capo’s Mistress is free to download for a limited time. There are no gimmicks and no need to sign up for anything to download the book by chapter.

I’ve listened to a few chapters and am hooked. The Capo’s Mistress is the first book in a series to feature the main character Mike Driscoll, a retired Los Angeles police officer. In The Capo’s Mistress, Mike meets Mary in the remote seasonal town of Virginia City, Montana. Mike falls in love and is willing to do anything for her, including helping her tie up some loose ends of her old life in Las Vegas. This unfinished business might just cost him his life.

You can pre-order The Capo’s Mistress at Amazon. Why order a book when you can listen to it for free? Well, for me there is nothing that takes the place of reading. Audio books are nice, but there is just something about reading page by page what happens in a book. I can really get into a story if I’m reading instead of just listening to it.

The Capo’s Mistress is slated for an April 27, 2007 release.
