I’m always looking to kill some time playing games. One time killer website with promise is My Time Killer.com.

There are some great classic games like Connect 4. I also enjoy games that really have no purpose like popping bubble wrap. That’s a good one for the little one. There are hundreds of games to choose from in many categories like acade games, card games, and puzzles.

Online games are great ways to waste time since you don’t need to download anything to play. Play as long as you want and just close your browser when done.

Guitar Hero I on Hard Level

As a casual gamer, I have been thrilled with my progress in Guitar Hero. It shows just how truly a great game it is that after weeks of playing, I’m still interested in it.

I have been stuck on the song Stellar in hard mode for about a week. I finally got through the song today. It wasn’t easy as I was over halfway through, the baby took a tumble and started crying. I struggled with the desire to drop everything and rush to her side. Instead, I paused the game and then went to console her. Well, after 10 seconds she was wanted the guitar and to ruin my great streak on this impossible song for me. Luckily there was something shiny and colorful nearby to distract her attention long enough for me to finish the song.

Ah, what a sweet victory it was. I played the next couple of songs on the list with no problem. The next impossible challenge looks to be the song Take it Off with its awkward and quick changing chords.

Career Day

I teach Sunday School class to 9th graders. A few weeks ago, it was National Vocation Awareness week. I had thought a cool presentation of the material would have been to present it in a career day/job expo format. Too bad I had this brillant idea the day before my class was to be taught.

I’m thinking that there will be a vocation awareness week next year so why not work my “booth” right now. Some actual trade show displays would make for a very impressive class presentation. Using some actual trade show displays would most definitely help to bring interest to the material. With my trade show display, I would probably be invited to other classrooms or to the church’s school.

I always try and make my lessons fun and 3 dimensional. My kids are usually half asleep so they need a lot of activities and exercises to wake them up. A trade show display would certainly get their attention.

Ratchet and Clank

This is one of my favorite game franchises that I’ve never really played. I had played demos of Ratchet and Clanks games but never owned one until a few weeks ago. I was finally able to sit down and play some today.

I bought the origianl Ratchet and Clank because I want to work up to each sequel. It’s been a lot of fun. The platform adventure game is my favorite and when you mix in cute characters then I’m hooked.

Hopefully I can play more. It all depends on the little one. The last time I tried to play it, she played with the controller for a good 30 minutes so there went my timeslot to enjoy games. I don’t mind sharing, now if only she will learn to share the controller everything will be good.
