Online Learning

Online learning helps me to have flexibility to do work at my own pace and when I have the time. I have been taking some free courses but have seriously considered returning to college.

That would be tough with a one year old, but it would be very rewarding to pursue a master’s degree. Capella is a fully online unversity that offers several degree programs. You can even get an mba online through their accredited program. Capella has been around since 1993, so they are pretty established.

Attending Capella could give me that degree I definitely want while giving me the flexibility to pursue it on my terms.

Getting into Shape

One of my resolutions is to lose weight and tone up. I’m starting my resolutions in December instead of waiting for January. There is some equipment I need. I want a jogging stroller for walking and hopefully running with the baby. I also would like a punching bag. Why a punching bag? I think it’s be a fun way to burn off some calories and steam during the day. Punching bags come in a variety of sizes and styles. Surely I will be able to find one that not only fits my needs but floorspace as well. I think using a punching bag would be a good way for me to get moving and for the baby to be entertained. So many exercises I just can’t do with her. If I’m standing in one position, she can either hang onto my leg or throw her own punches at the bag.

To really set the right mood for the workout, I really need some boxing gloves. They would help to get me in the right mindset and in turn have a better workout. Then all I need is the theme to “Rocky” playing the background. I’m joking about the last part. Although I do love to workout with music. It’s a great way to keep track of time without watching the clock.

The Boxing Depot has a nice selection of professional punching bags and has a great rate on shipping. Maybe Santa should visit the Boxing Depot. I’m sure he can find something for me there.

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles

Mobile vehicle toys are some of my favorites. I love train sets, remote control cars, and remote control airplanes. They make great Christmas gifts, too. I like to give gifts that are a reflection of me. I like to give gifts that if you came to my house then you are likely to find that product.

I’ve on several occasions given diecast vehicles. There is such a wide variety, and they are just plain cute. I’ve also given model trains to those who are railroad enthusiasts.

Petal cars are a great gift for kids. I can’t wait for the little one to be old enough to enjoy pedal cars. MoveableModels.com has an unbelievable selection. If I only had a place to keep one for a few years. I’m going to have to buy her the 1965 Mustang. While it’s not a 1966 like Mommy’s, it’s pretty darn close. She needs a ride like Mommy use to have. I had a lot of fun with my Mustang, and I’m sure the little one would enjoy hers as well.

So, my husband has beaten the game on medium setting. Apparently this has unlocked some more great songs. While I’m still diligently trying to work my way through the medium setting, I couldn’t help but to sneak a peek at his profile to see the songs he has access to.

One of my all-time favorites, Frankenstein by the Edgar Winter Group, is available to play on his profile. I remember jamming out to this song when I was a kid. My brother would turn down the volume on the song when it gets to the “tick tick tick” part and becomes really soft. Then he would crank it up with the next guitar rift in the song.

There are some other great songs he has unlocked, too. I really need these on my profile so therefore I must practice more.
