Dungeon and Dragons Players Handbook

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Since I’ve been playing a regular D & D game, I have purchased my own D & D players handbook. My husband is now jealous and is going to get him one. He already has one, but it’s the leather one that is really too nice for everyday use.

I’m creating a new character tonight for my husband’s Biggest Damn Dungeon Ever or better known as World’s Largest Dungeon. Jolly Blackburn spoofed the dungeon adventure in the Knights of the Dinner Table, a wonderfully entertaining comic/magazine. I’m going to run a Rogue Halfling. I think it’ll be good for a dungeon adventure since Rogues are known to disable/detect traps.

I’m excited because this will be my character I’ve totally created by myself. I guess we’ll see how much I have learned over the past few months.

Casual Game website spotlight: CasualGamer.com

The website, CasualGamer.com, has reviews and articles on casual games. They are written by a casual gamer. The reviews are concise, feature pros/cons to the game, and the review rating of the game.

It’s great to see sites like Casual Gamer that focus on this growing market for video games. It really sends a message the gamers want to have fun while playing games, not necessarily five minutes of cutscenes and storyline. Although that can be nice sometimes, overall I enjoy quick games that are easy to catch onto and don’t take a long time to play. Since there are so many casual games on the market, it’s nice to see a site dedicated to reviews of these fun, addicting games.

Dead or Alive Xreme for the Xbox 360

Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Vollyeball 2 is coming for the Xbox 360. The sequel looks to be more fast paced and feature mini-games as well as beach volleyball.

The premise of DOA Xtreme is different than the orginal that had the girls lured to the island by Zack, DOA 3 winnder. Now the girls are on Paradise Island and apparently are extremely bored with their lifestyle. Worse yet, clothes eating creatures have attacked and eaten their clothes. Thank goodness all bikinis were spared.

In DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball, the girls are stuck on Zack’s Island,a tropical paradise of hotels, casinos, and volleyball. It’d be nice to have timeshare on that piece of fictional land. I might can find a real timeshare through
Fairfield Resorts. I’m sure I could find something comparable to Zack’s Island there. Fairfield Resorts have over 70 world-class resorts in 21 states and U.S. territories and represent 9,000-plus timeshare condominiums. If resort life is anything close to the fun you can have in Dead or Alive, sign me up. However, they were lured there under false pretenses as Zack told them the next DOA tournament was to take place on his island. He bought the island with his winnings from DOA 3.

DOA Xtreme for the Xbox 360 will probably be one of the must haves for me so it looks like I now have a reason to buy a 360. I could just save my money and put it towards that timeshare through Fairfield Resorts. Oh well, the good life will have to wait just a little longer.

Sponsored Post: A Review of ReviewMe

Since I love to do game and product reviews, I was naturally drawn to ReviewMe, a service that hooks up reviewers with people wanted their products or services reviewed. ReviewMe presents a great opportunity for both bloggers and companies. Those looking for reviews of their product/service can find exactly the blog they want to have their product reviewed. ReviewMe creates a database of bloggers willing to review products/services. Cold emailing someone to ask if they do reviews can not only be time consuming but can be met with a negative response.

ReviewMe has a simple, clean layout that is easy to navigate. Once your blog is approved, offers will be listed in your user area. You can accept or reject offers so you do not have to review something if you do not want to do it. You can have up to six blogs. A price for reviews to your site is listed in your user area, and you get paid half that amount. Pricing is determined by a number of factors including Alexa ranking and are recalculated monthly.

I usually try to read some reviews before buying a product. I discount the all negative ones and sometimes ignore the too positive ones. Then I’m left with the majority of reviews that are a mixed bag, pointing their like/dislikes of a product. It’s always good to read about other people’s experience with a product/service before investing in it. ReviewMe is a great concept and will help bloggers be compensated for their work plus give advertisers a chance to get information about their product/service on the Internet.
