As I have mentioned on my blog, I post for Payperpost and get paid to do so. Payperpost has taken a lot of heat because of a journalistic concept called disclosure. A lot of people in the blogosphere are against PPP because they do not, at the time of this writing anyway, require bloggers to disclose that a post on their blog is being paid for.
I have very mixed feelings about the controversy over disclosure. For me, since I never claim to be a journalist, then I do not have to play by the same rules that they do. On the other hand, by posting on the Internet on a website then it is part of the media and might should have to adhere to journalist practices.
PPP is a great company that is ever evolving. Part of that evolution process is their announcement of a sister website that is a disclosure policy generator. This easy-to-use tool will help bloggers create their own disclosure policy in a matter of a few minutes. I posted mine on the page titled “Disclosure Policy.”
The disclosure policy generator is a nice idea. This way bloggers can disclose information about their blog wthout having to research or spend a lot of time writing their policy from scratch.
