The TMX Elmo looks to be THE toy to get this Christmas. TMX stands for Tickle Me Ten(10) as Tickle Me Elmo doll celebrate its 10th birthday this year. The TMX Elmo is selling like crazy. Stores can’t keep him on the shelves. Elmo TMX has a fairly hefty retail pricetag of $40.00. TMX Elmo is selling on Ebay between $100-$200. The Christmas craze has already begun, and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet.

I’ve only seen clips of TMX Elmo, and I do have to admit he’s cute. My daughter really likes Elmo, so I’m hoping to snag one of these this Christmas. Luckily, she is still a little young, so if I can’t find the TMX Elmo for Christmas, she won’t be too disappointed.

PSP Demos and More

There is a great site that has PSP demos and homebrew games for the PSP. Go to http://www.gamecrazy.ca/psp/page.html">http://www.gamecrazy.ca/psp/page.html on your PSP to download games and more. Follow the demo instructions to make sure you set it up correctly on your memory card.

I check the PSP home page for demos all the time. I’m glad to see there are few on this site that I am not familar with and haven’t played.

Thrifty Shopping

I’m a bargain hunter, and one of the best places to find great deals is thrift stores. I have found countless great items at thrift stores from clothing to cameras to furniture. I always look out for video games, board, and card games at thrift stores. Sometimes I find something of use. This just fuels the fire to dig more and find other cool things. Going to a thrift store can be addicting and will leave you hating to pay retail for anything ever again.

I also love to shop at rummage sale but hate having one. Most of the time I just donate my items to a charity thrift store. Not only do I get rid of my unneeded stuff, but it can go to help out someone in need. I’ve donated clothes, furniture, and knick knack items before. Any donation is welcomed. You can even make car donations. We had an old car that I wish we would have donated instead of sold. We probably could have gotten more of a tax break by donating it to charity than what we sold it for.

Shopping at thrift stores is a win-win situation. You get a great deal on stuff you want while helping a charity.

PS 2 gets a facelift

News No Comments »

Out this week is the Sony PlayStation 2 silver design. Overall weight of the PS 2 has been halved in this new version. It costs $129.99.

I was hoping the PS2 would drop down to below $100 but looks like that may take a while, if ever. With a newly revamped model, the PS2 looks to be a strong console system for a while even in the face of the next gen consoles. I may have to bite the bullet and buy one at $129.99. It seems $129 is the magic number. The new DS Lite is also $129 and also on my wish list.
