Video game music has come a long way in recent years. Music adds a lot to gameplay and replay value of a game. For me personally, sometimes I?ll pop in Dead or Alive Volleyball just to listen to some tunes.

For DOA it is quite easy to find the artists behind the music but other games it can be a difficult task. Searching the Internet can turn up some results but not always.

VgMusic.com features MIDIs of many great video game tunes. Games are sorted by console and then alphabetically. It’s a nice stroll down memory lane to listen to game music from years past.

Some artists lend their songs to video games. Crazy Taxi comes to mind as Offspring did a couple of songs for the original arcade game. I’m sure there are countless others. If you know of any, leave a comment and help my small list (does 1 count as a list?) grow.
