The pursuit of trivia

Trivia games are my all time favorite. Useless or little known facts are so much fun to learn and read about. My husband loves to spout off any and all information he knows. His Dad use to say that if you asked him the time then he would tell you how the watch worked.

A good place to find all sorts of trivia is the Aviva Trivia Blog. Here are a couple of game trivia facts for you from the trivia blog. Chess was invented in India around 600. A Hungarian professor invented the Rubik’s cube in 1980. There is a lot more interesting facts and figures to be found there. Learn about some facts today. I would definitely recommend the Aviva Trivia Blog to my friends. The next time you play a trivia game that information could come in handy.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Most people have, unfortunately, known someone either affected by breast cancer or some other form of cancer. Breast self exams and regular exams by your doctor are extremely important. I use to think I was doing the self exams the right way but then my doctor found an unusual spot. Thank goodness at my next visit it was not there, but it was enough to make me take notice of the proper way to do a self exam.

Here is a way to help fund breast cancer research. If you eat yogurt, look for the pink lids on Yoplait and save them. Each lid is a donation from Yoplait of 10 cents to breast cancer research.

As we find more ways to raise money for breast cancer research we will pass it on.
