Spotlight on FLGS: The Gamer Sanctuary

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Local gaming stores are a great source for RPG materials as well as interesting games, figures, and dice. Hanging out at the local gaming shop you meet all sorts of gamers in your area. If you are moving, look up the local comic book and gaming stores to make some friends fast.

One my FLGS(Favorite Local Gaming Stores) is the Gamer Sanctuary. TGS encourages gamers to come play table top games like Blood Bowl or play Dungeons and Dragons. What makes them extra cool is the Xbox with Xbox Live they let guests play.

Casual Game Spotlight: Word Womp To Go

Games No Comments »

I first played Word Womp over at Pogo.com. Now it’s a downloadable, standalone word game.

You are given a series of letters. Then you have so much time to find as many words as you can using those letters. Displayed onscreen are blanks that represent how many words you can find.

The animations are cute and the gophers are adorable. It’s a fun word game that I’ve enjoyed forever.
