Dollmaker Game for Girls

Games No Comments »

Creating doll avatars is a hobby of mine. I like to create dolls and then I can easily store the image on my computer. My husband like it since I’ve thinned down my real doll collection. This is an outlet for me to add dolls to my collection but not take up the shelf space in our home.
Dollmaker Dress Up Game for girls gives a lot of variety and choices for creating a cute doll. I personally am fond of their Fairy section of dolls because this the theme of my daughter’s room. I’ll be able to create some cute themed dolls to use on her blog as well. The pirate dolls are too cute. Such creative minds are on the web and are sharing their talents.
Their software, which runs from your browser, is easy to navigate and operate. They have plenty of choices. I also like that you can load which set of doll accessories you want to use. Loading all the images can take some time especially if you are on dialup or have a slow connection.
You can personalize them to give your doll a unique look and then use the doll in forums or other web places. It can be addicting because it is so much fun. I loved playing with my dolls when I was younger. Now I can use Dollmaker and enjoy dressing up dolls once again.

Earthworm Jim for the PSP

One of my favorite games is coming to the PSP next spring. Earthworm Jim will make his PSP debut in the game simply named Earthworm Jim. Atari gained rights to Earthworm Jim for handheld and online gaming. It sounds like they have some big plans for Jim over the next five years.

This side scrolling adventure for the PSP is scheduled to be availalbe in March 2007.

Moving woes

Way Off Topic No Comments »

Moving can be such a hassle. I dislike moving very much from the packing/unpacking, loading, and finding services in a new town. My husband and I joke that when we move, we should just start fresh and leave everything behind. I have to agree it’s a nice sentiment but highly improbable to ever happening.

One service I will use next time is the Self Storage Directory - Moving.bz. Inevitably we will need to store some of your belongings, and with Moving.bz we can easily find plenty of self storage options in the city we’ll be moving to. We can also receive some quotes to find the best and right deal for us.

Anything that can take some of the stress of moving away is a definite asset to remember.

The folks at MyGamer.com love their video games, and they love to talk and write about them. If you want an informed opinion and honest answers about video games, then this is the place you need to go.

I’ve written for them in the past and enjoyed it a lot. The staff is a great bunch of gamers that really care about the industry and putting out quality stuff. You may not find a review for every game as the staff is all volunteer, so go to the forum and ask questions. You’re more than likely to get a response.

MyGamer is a fun place to visit. They try hard to bring quality reviews, news, and other stories of interest to gamers. They are always open to suggestions as well.

Mustang Memories

My first car was a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible. It broke my heart to sell it last spring. But the reality was that she needed some TLC that we just couldn’t provide. She has good owners now who are thrilled with her.

I have always loved Mustangs. I bought the Xbox Ford Mustang racing game, which allows me to drive many different models of the car. It’s a lot of fun, although the game’s release date was pushed back a few times. It was worth the wait.

The Ford Mustang is an American icon. I hope to have another Mustang in the future. Until then, I can follow the news and reviews of Mustangs at ModdedMustangs.com.

Futurama video game

The Futurama video game has been out for a few years but apparently is really hard to find. I did find it on Amazon a week ago for an outrageous price. It looks like more sellers have added the video game so the price has dropped. It’s still pretty expensive at $58. The game is four years old.

Futurama is hot, though. New episodes are rumored to be coming to TV in 2008. It won’t be on Fox but cable. The video game got horrible reviews from gamers because the controls, camera movement, and other gameplay elements seemed incomplete and didn’t work correctly. Futurama fans seem to like the video game, saying it’s like a bonus episode of the show.

I can’t see shelling out over $50 for a game that is four years old. It does show me that more of this type of game that is meant for casual gamers could sell well. Games don’t have to be shooters, action, or sports to be popular. Maybe the popularity of this older game will also show that a game doesn’t have to be new for the casual gamer to stand up and take notice. So many good games get lost in the shuffle of big video game releases.
