Apparently the latest craze in the United Kingdom is companies who are offering free broadband. This might be too good to be true. I remember when free dialup was all the rage in the United States. Now, I know of one reliable free dialup service but it has limits.

Before signing up for any free deal including free broadband, read the offer carefully. It could be worth it or could be a total waste of time.

Sid Meier’s Railroads! is coming in October. This is a totally revamped, renewed game of his early work of Railroad Tycoon some 16 years ago. They hype is out there for Railroads! with many fans looking forward to its release.

If it is a Sid Meier’s game, then there is little possibility that it will disappoint. I’m not sure our household can take another addicting Sid Meier’s game though as my husband still plays Civ III( Yes III not IV). He has also become quite the fan of Pirates!

My vacuum cleaner is a hand me down from my Mom. I told my husband last night that we have never bought a vacuum cleaner. We have always had hand me downs. This Christmas I am getting one. I am interested in discount vacuum cleaners that work well and won’t cost me a lot of money. After all, I got a baby to buy gifts for this year.

While most people aren’t excited about shopping for a vacuum cleaner, I am. My baby who is now eating anything and everything off the floor really shows what a bad job the vacuum cleaner really does in getting stuff off the floor. The gamer in me is really intrigued by the Roomba vacuum cleaner. Basically it is a robot that vacuums on its own. I really like this because my carpet needs to be vacuumed daily and to have a robot vacuum cleaner do it without my help would be great.

The Hepa vacuum cleaners really catch my attention. I worry about allergies with the baby. Anything that makes the air cleaner is OK in my book.

Circuit City has some nice prices on video games. It’s a good time to be a PS2 owner because most of the games at our store were PS2 games for $8.96.

Have I mentioned that I’m excited about the upcoming release of The Sims 2 Pets? I’ve already started planning my pet family and wanted to have some great pet names on file. I most likely with have dogs and found a nice place to get dog names on the web. Alldognames.com - Dog Names are grouped by male, female, large dogs, small dogs, names from movies and TV, etc. I’m really liking the name Murphy. It’s on the most popular dog names list. I think my first pet in The Sims 2 I will name Murphy. Should I change my mind I can always check back on Alldognames.com for more suggestions.

My baby will be proficient in English and Sim speak. I sometimes babble to her in Sims language. I don’t do it as often as when she was really young, but I slipped into doing it today.

Mainly I saw “zuoo zuoo” because that is usually what Sims do to calm their Sims babies. I wonder when Raegan gets older if she’ll remember my babble speak? Who knows. One day she may be playing The Sims and feel all safe and sound. She’ll be remembering my language of love.

I love being a Gamer Mom. It’s going to be so much fun playing games with the little one. Thanks to Little Leaps, I don’t have to wait any longer. This system that grows with your child from baby to toddler is a wireless controller that works with most TV and DVD players.

The baby is already enamored with the Xbox controller so I’m sure she’ll love banging and learning with her own. This will be the first Christmas gift I’ll buy her. Leapfrog has some of the cutest products. Our house already looks like a display store for Leapfrog products.

While playing games can offer some relaxation, it can also cause a lot of tension. We have fierce rivalries in our house, so games can become heated.

Also, my husband is high stressed anyway. That’s why when I ran across this self help book I was intrigued by it. It’s the best self help book I have seen in quite a while. I love the title and it’s reference to another popular book. The website also has a great flash slideshow that really is cool and relaxing to watch.

So next time we come to blows over a game, I’m pointing my browser to Simone and Delvis while I crack open the book.

Here are Romperz we are very excited to add the categories card games and board games. Many casual gamers not only love their video games, but these longtime favorites as well.

My current favorite card game is Spoons. It is a great party game. You can play with a regular deck of cards and spoons or get a special card set.

Spoons is a lot of fun. Basically you play until someone has four cards of the same type. Players pass a card to the player on the left. The first player draws from the deck then can either pass that card or one in his hand. The first person to have four of a kind grabs a spoon. Once the first spoon is grabbed, it’s a free for all for the other spoons. There is one less spoon than players, so be fast or be eliminated!

It’s fast and fun. All you need is some spoons and a couple of deck of cards.
