Folding@home is a project that uses a piece of software installed on your computer to harness some of you computer’s ability to help find cures for diseases. I’ve heard of things like this before where you can lend some of your CPU processor to help projects like this.

Folding just recently announced they have a PlayStation 3 client so now PS3 owners can lend some of their PS3’s computing power to a higher calling. Interesting. I know gamers are big givers, just look at the annual Penny Arcade toy drive, and you’ll see gamers have big hearts. It’s kind of exiciting gamers can have a chance to help out a worthy cause.
