YouTube of video games?
News August 17th, 2006Apparently Microsoft is looking to release a stripped down version of their game development tool to retail for $99. This will allow anybody to create their own games for the Xbox 360. They are hoping to create the same kind of fever for game developing like YouTube did for video creations.
I like the idea, especially if the program is easy to use. Ofcourse, since it is a Microsoft product I would suspect that it will be fairly straightforward. The XNA Game Studio Express will have everything to make a video game work. The pro version runs thousands of dollars. It’ll be interesting to see how many features $99 will buy.
