One of my favorite genres of game is racing, and one of my favorite sports is racing. I’ve been a Nascar fan ever since I listened to Nascar as part of my college internship at a radio station way back in the early 90’s. Thanks to SPEEDtv, I can watch all the Nascar action.

EA Sports is releasing Nascar 07 September 6, 2006. Can’t wait to play this one. Racing games are definitely my strong suit and my husbands weakness. It’ll be great to beat him at something again.

I’m happy to say I was a Nascar fan long before the sport became so popular. I’m glad it’s growing in popularity because it is really enjoyable to follow and root for your favorite driver(s).

Apparently Microsoft is looking to release a stripped down version of their game development tool to retail for $99. This will allow anybody to create their own games for the Xbox 360. They are hoping to create the same kind of fever for game developing like YouTube did for video creations.

I like the idea, especially if the program is easy to use. Ofcourse, since it is a Microsoft product I would suspect that it will be fairly straightforward. The XNA Game Studio Express will have everything to make a video game work. The pro version runs thousands of dollars. It’ll be interesting to see how many features $99 will buy.
