Five or More

PC Games No Comments »

Five or More is a puzzle game for Linux. You start off with five balls randomly placed on a grid. Each turn you can move one ball in a straight line and as many blocks as you would like to move it over. Then the computer randomly drops three balls onto the playing field. The premise to get five or more in a row. This clears the balls from play.

It’s a fun little puzzle game. It’s hard to keep an eye on the big picture of the whole board since you have a tendency to pay attention to just one spot.

Five or more came bundled with the Debian Linux. Check the package manager if it is not installed on your version of Linux.

While I was at Wal-Mart the other day, I knew it was time to get serious about weightloss and fitness when I became fatigued just walking through the store. Now it was a huge Wal-Mart, and I was lugging around the little one. That’s not a good excuse though. Just a simple activity shouldn’t take so much out of me.

Since I enjoy gaming, Yourself!fitness for the Xbox has been a great way for me to exercise. Maya the virtual fitness trainer keeps me going. The routines are also different each day, giving this video game a huge advantage over traditional workout videos.

However, the game is not enough. Sometimes you just need support from other individuals on the same weigtloss/body building journey. One active community is BodyBuilding.net. Their forums are made up of men and women who are getting into shape. The community seems to be a nice resource for information as well as encouragement. I don’t know if I would be as brave a some of those folks are to post before pictures. Maybe after I’ve had some success I’ll have more nerve.
